  1. I'll go with the Joe Strummer blog request as I was just speaking with a friend how "Streetcore" is one of my favorite all time albums. Or any blog topic that you feel like writing!

mmm Global-A-Go-Go is wayyy better. Not that Streetcore isn't a good album, but damn you can't beat Global. And the first album (I can't remember the name)... meh. I'm surprised there's not more music stuff on this board yet...

PS - howdy Bill! now this post wasn't completely off topic haha

  2. Okay people....you need to step up your game here!!!

I can not be the only one of us getting tattooed!!!

    ha ha ha ha

I'm broke and selling shit off on Craigslist and Ebay to hopefully get tattooed at the upcoming SFO convention. Don't worry, I'll hopefully have something awesome to contribute after that...

  3. I believe every artist in every form (not just tattooing) takes their influences with them. It's just a matter of trying to put your own spin on it and when an original idea does come then run with it with all you've got.

Great artists are rarely born bursting with original ideas. The beginning stages of most artists involve a mimicking of something they appreciate so they can learn their craft. Most great artists that I've met manage to put in many hours of practice and work past the mimicking stage to a point where they're combining a great variety of influences to show the world their own unique vision.

  4. Yea man, his side, and Kevins side are both really fucking cool. I know a lot of people that say all Matt's songs on that split sound like "Sorry About That." I'm okay with that.

Sweet Smiths collection. They are the best. Ever.

Dude- I think all of Matt's songs are just the same 4 songs written over and over again. And usually, I'm ok with that too.

  5. Ugh Tim's Roses are insane. I love the hands he did I attached a picture of...

As far as inspiration goes- my writing is often influenced by humanity and often the general lack thereof.

My visual arts can be influenced from something I see walking down the street, a play off of someone else's idea that I throw my own twist on, or simply from practicing a new technique.

PS - I know the link has been dropped somewhere else in the forum but it's totally worth reposting so here is the link to Tim's blog that you should check out!
