    i've seen that cross stitch book. it's not that good. and i doubt Ed made any money from it. i looked at the back and inside of the book and has nothing to do with his publishing company. it's the person who ed originally sold the rights to the 5-10 designs that are on everything. stop trying to shit talk Ed Hardy

    thanks shawn, that's a really neat thing he did.. it's interesting to see the progression side by side like that.. the tattoo on my foot looks like bar 2 or 3 already so if mine reacts like his then i'd probably only need a couple sessions to get it light enough for a cover up.. the stuff on my arm is more like bar 1 or 2 so probably would need more sessions or more intense sessions.. it's also really interesting how the tattoos on Allen's arm have changed shape after the treatments.. that's something i wouldn't have even thought of his site also has some amazing before and after photos

    I've heard that some laser clinics use a topical anesthetic before doing the treatment. Has anyone had this or know if it actually helps?

    I agree that this Lisa chick should be fucked with for sure! At the same time it's pretty shitty to go vandalize someone's shop just because they're a total fuck head. Maybe someone in NY and someone in San Diego can organize protests at her locations or something like that. As far as the sponsors go I sent my cousin an email letting him know that him and his co workers may experience a lot of hate mail in the next few days and I anyone at his company cares to be informed that I will put him in touch with some people who aren't idiots and can explain the situation from a tattooers point of view. I'm sure it will make no difference but you never know what cab happen.

    Maybe you could wrap it at night with a tensor (known as an ace in the USA) bandage or something? At least that way if you're scratching while sleeping it won't be right on the wound

    Yeah unfortunately the tattoo is covering almost my whole foot and my ankle too and right beside it is another abomination worthy of the laser. So looks like I'll be going for the laser option to lighten and then cover as best I can. It won't be for a long time but I'll post photos when I do. Thanks for the info Valerie it's been quite helpful

    I'm really sad to see two companies that family members of mine are involved in.. one of which is high up in marketing and has a lot to do with their commercials.. maybe i can find a respectful way of bringing this issue to him.. this brings it to a whole different thing for me, i feel kind of sick now knowing a close relative of mine is probably about to get a lot of hate mail.. it kind of bring a different perspective because i know he's a good person and he knows me and my man live off of tattooing, he probably has no idea how horrible this show will be... any advice on how i could approach this would be appreciated.. and no, i will not say which company, what his job actually is, or his name.. sorry..

    eventually, probably yes... the only reason i havn't done it so far is because i still have a lot of room on my legs and torso and even a bit left on my arm, i figure i'll get a lot of that done and then worry about fixing the shit.. i actually have another small area i'd realllllly like to laser on my arm, so i'll probly get that done before my foot but who knows!

    So mine would be considered a re-work rather than a cover up... i got it re-done within one year of getting the tattoo and you'll see why... originally done by Dave Gibson (yes THE dave gibson) and re-done by Mike Wilson sorry for the horrid photo quality of the before, but it didn't look any better in person haha and after the entire experience was bad, from him (dave not mike) refusing to do the tattoo in the spot i wanted, to making sounds like an injured man after every line he pulled.. but thankfully it was fixable and you can't even tell it was a shitter at first

    it's interesting that you say it takes a long time and many treatments even to lighten black work.. i have really horrible all black tattoo on my foot that i've been told by a lot of people i could easily lighten with only 1-3 laser sessions.. mind you the tattoo is already pretty light because it was done by a moron... it's about 10 years old and looks about 50 years old haha... anyways def making me rethink the laser option as i'm not really interested in spending $1000 to get rid of it at this point...
