As I am working on improving my artistic skillset, I am interested in making some trades with anyone that wants to do so. Watercolor or whatever is cool with me. Let me know what you want and i'll get something going. It also helps give me a little subject matter direction to work on. When left to my own devices, I tend to only work on the shit I want to, and that isn't really how you progress...

Good advice. @vPooch The only thing I would add is to not hesitate to say something if you are not 100% sure about placement or size or whatever. The tattooer should be more than happy to get it just right for you. Remember to tip as well. If you are happy with the experience, the tip can let your tattooer know; it is a service industry after all and they are providing you a service. Good luck with your tattoo and please share when it is done!

The preview is a tiny part of it. I know for a fact that the producers and film crew sat down with all of the great B&G guys that I can think of and got interview stuff for the film... Kore Flatmo, Carlos Torres, Chuey, Carlos Rojas, Robert hernandez, Chente Rios, Tim Hendricks...etc. I personally talked to Kore about it and he hopes it will represent the community pretty well. I have also seen some tattooers posting on Instagram about how good it is... - - - Updated - - - Maybe its aimed at markets that don't really get a ton of exposure to that west coast black and grey style...if so, maybe they didn't feel like it would be cost effective to have it show somewhere in the NY area? I would assume that this being something that is financed by a pretty small group of people that the cost of bringing it to different places is a big deal.

If your into traditional, you can't go wrong with a snake and dagger or a snake and ladyhead or a snake and flower or a snake and any other combination. I really like snake tattoos that don't show the whole body. Meaning, like a head, with a cool view of the tongue and teeth and then the head being severed. I've always thought that daggers or arrows through a severed cobra head would be rad as fuck.

My guess is it will be available pretty quickly after theater. i think they are only doing 150 theaters nation wide and two showings per theater. I am going with some local tattooer friends...gonna be a blast. About ime something "real" about tattooing hit a big mainstream audience like this.
