Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm still laughing that I didn't notice the picture was in fact sooo not a tattoo, so will try to spend the whole 1 second to look a little further next time... Still think it looks neat tho..you'd definitely notice it!

What are the pros/cons of really thick (well, they look thick to me anyway) outlines like this? Chrysanthemum tattoo. November flower. | Inked. Is this a certain style? My husband was meh on it, but I like how it looks and thought I'd ask.

I've been playing around on the internet looking at pictures, thinking along the lines of what he said at the appt and other than being stumped on the arm band cover up, I think this will work out in the end..it will end up looking like one big piece on that side. I'll add more cherry blossoms on the other side/under arm and figure something out for the middle so they all flow together. I love the tattoo, so it will work out in the end!

I think I need to work on being more assertive. It's hard for me not to get all caught up in the oooo new tattoo feeling, and then I'm like ah shit, I messed that up. I may talk to someone else in the shop (the guy I've been going to moved, and it was just a fluke that he was back for Christmas, otherwise I'd planned on switching to the owner)- I need to come up w/some ideas for that arm band, and continuing up my arm around the top of my back.

Wow, you guys are waaaay more brave than I! OMG I have palpitations just thinking about it. Here I thought I was some sort of zany madcap girl-ha!

Thanks deadsp0t. I'm kind of a worry wart, I admit. We did talk a little about what next...it's just totally different than what I'd seen in my head when I sent pictures to start planning before my appointment...and now I feel like I have to go on a different course, kinda stuck.

K, I totally don't think this way of tattooing is for me. I have limited space so I think I need to plan things out better.

Took the wrap off and got it cleaned before bed. Now, am I imagining things or is there a line missing? On the bottom right as you look at the picture, a line to mark the side of the petal?

Thanks! I emailed him a picture of my back and a board I made (yeah yeah yeah, pinterest, I know) of flowers and placements etc, asked about doing black/gray maybe red too, so hopefully it's helpful. He came up w/the cherry blossoms based off a picture I had saved for about 7 years, and I really like them, so fingers crossed!

Well, yanno, normal for *here*...! He has 4 hours open tomorrow and he said we could just visit about ideas and see what we come up w/. Going to email pics of the flower ideas...I'd like to now switch to black/gray/red, and go from where the flower is on my left upper arm, around the arm, in between the cherry blossoms if possible, across the top of my back, around my frog, and down my other arm to the daisy circlet there. Not sure how it will work, or if it will work. Maybe just add more cherry blossoms around the arm on that side and other flowers on the other side...sorry, talking out loud here.

I felt kinda like a crazy risk taker before, but it's good to know I'm a bit more normal.

Oh phew, that makes me feel better, thank you! My husband and I were talking yesterday about what we wanted to get for Christmas and I'm like hey...I wonder if they have time... I wanted to have some script (yes I know what everyone's thoughts are on script! At least it's basically just one line, not a whole paragraph haha) but when I pulled up the picture of my back, and thought about my future plans, I don't think script would work..maybe it would, I dunno. So who knows what it will end up being.

Starting the Adept series by Piers Anthony again. Been quite a few years since I've read them.

I'm waiting for confirmation on an appt tomorrow, so thought I would ask..have you ever made an appt and walked in just w/ideas in your head and nothing concrete? We are off for Christmas break until the 2nd of January and I thought it would be a good time to have something done, and it will be well past the initial sore to the touch stage so there's no worries of the preschoolers climbing on me.

Our daughter is in a play, and they had their performance for the elementary school today. Tomorrow/Saturday/Sunday are the performances for the public. I've seen it many times b/c I went to all the rehearsals but I'm still excited to see it for "real". She has a pretty main part too!

Loved the Mayfair Witches-read it many years ago, one of those series you just don't want to put down, or to end. Aaaand that is one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes! I remember watching it when I was young and wanting to cry/laugh/scream all at the same time over how awful that would be. Mom dropped off Dr. Sleep yesterday but I've not started it yet. I did finish a really good one called Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. About a man who is very active/rich and is in an accident and ends up a quadriplegic, wanting to go to the assisted suicide place, and the woman who is hired to help take care of him. It made me cry my eyes out. Worth the read for sure.

Not sure when to tell him, or how to tell him. Maybe wait a little bit, hang out once he's out of the hospital first. I married my bf after being bf's for several years and having a go at friends w/benefits.
