  1. A Baku......very nice!!! And you have had it for some time too! :)
  2. Awesome to have you here Clay! welcome to the forum :)
  3. thanks for the info! I finally just googled it and found some of that on the wikipedia definition! I love it...and it is healing really well.....I wasn't quite sure how well or fast it would heal but it is doing great!
  4. I am going to say now that my head was the most painful! It was not fun at all....the lining was not too bad at first....but the solid shading really sucked ass! Something small probably wouldn't be too bad....but (for me) the side of the head (especially behind the ear)with large coverage really hurts....ha ha ha! Again though......I was told by some people that they didn't have a too much trouble with it....I personally think they were lying....ha ha ha ha ha!
  5. Actually...."Snow Lion"....Wikipedia is the first place i went to look when Dave called and said he wanted to do this instead of a dragon! "From 1909 until 1959 a single snow lion or a pair of these mythological animals were used as national emblem of Tibet on the coins, poststamps, banknotes and the national flag of Tibet" I really loved the drawing but I am really actually loving the tattoo the more I read about what it all signifies!
  6. That's what i was wondering.....and if anyone really knew the difference....if there is any?
  7. Actually it is a Tibetan Snow Lion.....I think a foo dog is Japanese? Maybe it is Chinese...... I was wondering about that........because I know the Snow Lion is a Tibetan/Bubhist thing
  8. Thank you! Don't try this at home kids.....ha ha ha!
  9. From start to finish it was about two and a half to three hours! I had a couple breaks...but not very long so most of that time was spent drilling on my head! I was determined I was not going to tap out!!! I can tell you this......it hurts....at least for me it did! ;)
  10. Thank you! I am stoked to have it and I was very stoked when it was over....ha ha ha
  11. I finally got the side of my head tattooed! My Tibetan Snow Lion.....by Dave Kruseman or Olde Line Tattoo I still have one more sitting to go (maybe an hour...to add a few things) It was hard to get a good photo!
  12. Welcome to the forum! Go see GRIME at Skull & Sword! But yeah....you are seriously lucky to have a blank canvas....and the understanding that you should only cover it with the best artists around......and there are so many around you too! I look forward to watching your progression too, doll! :)
  13. Welcome to the forum! :)
  14. I started out adding single tattoos all over my body.....so I am going to say for me that I personally like the sort of "patchwork quilt" I have become with many different artists all tattooing me all over (including my back) BUT....I do also enjoy the visual appeal of one artist doing a large piece on someones back! I would say this really has to be what you want it to be as it is a personal preference! But it would be cool if you were doing a large piece to have one person do the lining and black shading and another one do the color....kind of the way shops were more like an assembly line back in the old days!
  15. It exists....and it is mostly a gay male thing.......just since you brought it up......ha ha ha! I posted photos of my feet one time and got all kinds of interesting comments......i should have left them up to be honest because some of them were straight up funny as shit! :)
  16. Oh....i especially love ladies that have their feet tattooed....i think it's sexy if it is done right! Mine did swell but i lived through it and took care of them and they healed in perfect! I just am very old school i guess about people doing their hands and necks! :)
  17. "Rules" might be the wrong term.....but I would need to respectfully disagree with your "Just go for it" statement! Although the views on tattoos have definitely changed over the last 7-10 years we are not out of the woods yet! Trust me I have been tattooed for almost 30 years and those of us who have been tattooed that long know how a tattoo can keep you out of certain jobs and in my case stopped me from getting a promotion into management! Some cities in the U.S. (all I can speak too) are more "tattoo friendly" but there are still people who will not hire people with visible tattoos! I also grew up in a time where you had to "earn" those spaces (hands and neck) by being pretty heavily covered! I know it is an artists job to put on what the client wants but i guess i am just a little "old school" maybe when it comes to those spots! I think it's silly to see someone with their hands done and just about nothing else on their forearms (same with necks but no sleeves). People definitely looked at me differently after getting my hands and especially my neck done and although after you have been stared at for so long you tend not to notice it BUT they still stare....LOL It's sad......but there is still prejudice out there and if you aren't a tattoo artist or work in the craft then it is a bit more difficult to climb the corporate ladder with visible tattoos. I hope that does become a thing of the past.....but we aren't there quite yet! While I do understand it is an artists job to do what the client asks....I tend to respect more the artists who in the back of their minds at least think twice before they tattoo someones hands or neck! Just my humble opinion and stating it as respectfully as I can! :)
  18. Not sure if you saw the stuff flying around on FB or not but they are trying to do a show in Philly this October.......Word going around was that Troy was going to do a Fall show as well so......I think they are stepping on some serious toes in Philly!
  19. My first tattoo was at 15....a pachcco cross on my left index finger done with needle, thread & ink! It is still partially visible under my knuckle tattoo......and was actually very well done! My first professional tattoo was done on my 18th Bday by Julie Moon at Dragon Moon Tattoo in Glen Burnie, Maryland! A Butterfly i picked off the wall and had tattooed on my left breast....and it was slowly built around over the years to become part of my chest piece!
  20. Welcome to the forum doll! :)
  21. Which is what I wanted.......ha ha ha! And might I add......my pussy's are pretty spectacular too.........although my dick is a little wrinkled and missing a leg! :( We won't even discuss my blown out butt-hole! ;)
  22. Welcome to the Forum, Kathryn! :)
  23. Not sure if it has been pointed out or not......but some tattoo artists do not like to hear you say this to them....at least that has been my experience! Some prefer you to at least have some concept for them to work off of so they are not having to totally guess what you may or may not want on your body! My hubby told a notable artist that he "was just stoked to have anything" by the artist and the artist still asked for a list of things so he at least some inspiration for the tattoo! I myself am not worried about it as I am there to get tattooed by the artist and subject matter doesn't really matter.....but i guess some artists want you to have some idea at least when you walk through the door!
