  1. Agreed. I'm guessing Lydia and King Ruck will be the next two to depart, followed by Melissa and/or Gentle Jay. To me, it looks like the final four are going to be Sausage, Halo, Matti, and James. Although at this point I'm only willing to call Sausage a definite.
  2. I recently read an article written by an anthropologist who said that nearly all of the jobs we have available are bullshit, and the ones that are actually crucial to our civilization are underpaid. While reading it I was reminded of a book I have (in storage) called "What We Cannot Prove But Believe Anyway" and one of the authors was a computer scientist who thinks we should write algorithms that write better, smarter computer programs. Because apparently he has decided that he no longer wants a job as a computer scientist. It makes me wonder why people go to such lengths to make themselves obsolete.
  3. My lady is an artists (not the tattoo kind, unfortunately) and here are a couple of my favorites.
  4. Do you have any personal feelings about the idea? I'm personally opposed to it, mainly because I'm of the mind-set that creativity needs to be the result of human imagination, not a human-constructed algorithm designed to replicate creativity.
  5. I have watched every episode of Ink Master at least 2X. Some of the drama does get annoying, no doubt, but that is to be expected from TV, right? The show has grown tremendously, IMO, since season 1, and it looks like they are going to be a lot more strict going forward. At least I hope so, because, while I'm not going to bag on any of the artists (not here anyway) some of them clearly have no business being involved in a competition for $100K.
  6. My lady wanted to go see that movie "Divergents" so, against my better judgement, I took her. One of the things in that movie that really ground my gears was how they applied tattoos. It was like they just lasered the ink painlessly into the skin which, to me, seemed like a sacrilege. Sadly I don't doubt that someone is hard at work making such a device right now, however.
  7. Hi there, I was told about this site yesterday and thought I would drop in and say hello. I've been a fan of tattoos since junior high, but owing to various factors I didn't get any until my mid-twenties. My new plan is to finally get full sleeves, hopefully by the end of this year.
