  1. How does your friend feel about you having their art as a tattoo? As an artist, I think I'd at least like a heads up that someone was going to have something I created redone as a tattoo or any other medium.
  2. I need your wife to talk to my fiance'-every time I get tattooed, it's always "You're going to get it THAT big?"
  3. I was talking to an older guy the other day and as soon as I said Italy, he said "thieves", like one of those psyche tests. I think he was stationed in Europe at some point, so maybe it was a personal experience. Gregor- Have you ever been to New York City? I heard the pick pocket thing was bad in New York and had no problems. IDK, some of it might be because I look like a crook myself ; )
  4. So that was YOU on my Instagram feed-good going man!
  5. "Centurion" was great-much better than the bigger budget "The Eagle". Also cool to see more coverage of the early natives of Brittania like the Picts and Celts.
  6. -Architectural-buildings, arches, monuments, etc -Mandala/ hex signs on everything -Big cats
  7. I'm not, but surely, he has passed the test. Think it's either Subskin or Heinz- both are SUPER strong, but I'm really digging Diego Brandi's style.
  8. Awhile back, I sent out some PMs looking for writers for my blog. Basically, I'm looking for stuff on art & design (anything from tattoos, photography, design, architecture, etc), vintage automotive and motorcycle stuff and music. Reviews, opinion pieces, whatever- I'm looking for content. Message me if you're interested. Thanks!
  9. Nice! At some point, I want to get over to Aloha in Spain and get something from El Monga, Rotor-really any of those guys.
  10. Looking for traditional/ neo-traditional tattooers in that area- Thanks!
  11. My fiance's cats decided to run across her face last night while she was laying on the couch with the flu-left a deep gash across her nose and on her lower eyelid. Seriously could've strangled them yesterday >= /
  12. I remember the first time my brother's friend pulled up in jacked up mudder Bronco, booming Run DMC's "Dumb Girl" out of a box with two 12's-such an odd juxtaposition. My other neighbor who's dad was a wood worker and built a halfpipe in their backyard, had a matching Confederate flag skateboard and surfboard. Such was my childhood.
  13. HA-yeah, what's up with that anyway? 2013 prediction: Rise of the male model tattooer. I say that because I see what a big deal that Rob Genest guy is. I don't get it personally.
  14. The Spider Murphy stuff is off the CHAIN! Not a boring one in the bunch, though.
  15. I couldn't at the Star of Texas last weekend-first time I've been asked = /
  16. I've only seen one issue (feat Fillip Leu), so I'm wondering if this was a one-off test run from the Tattoo Artist Magazine people. The reason I ask is because, as non-tattooer, you can't purchase TAM (I guess because of the shop talk, or whatever.) but I just want to read interviews with tattooers I like. It's the reason I don't buy other magazines featuring Johnny Nu Skool Colorbomb Portrait guy and various X-game contestants with script rib tattoos. Maybe having a place for edited versions of articles on the TAM blog or site for non-tattooers?
  17. My fiance' thinks part of the reason the rates are high for those dates is because of this: Fleet Week New York
  18. Yeah- 2 weeks would add up fast :p
  19. My money's on B-Tat. Saddest part about it is he's the only one that just tattooed a skull and didn't try and throw his "style" into it. So bad...
  20. I called ahead at Smith Street, but it was only a few weeks out. If I may suggest a hotel, The Gem Soho is right down the street from Adorned and the subway that takes you to Brooklyn (Smith Street) and in the middle of the Lower Eastside. Reasonable rates, too The Gem Soho
