  1. @CaitlinBurnett10 it's an incredible tattoo! For inspiration I'll be thinking of you and how you toughed 10 hours, three days in a row. It's gotta get done one way or another. I've been thinking about practicing a meditation leading up to the tattoo. Thanks @polliwog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Word! I'm working with Rich Hardy to do his version of a Percy Waters front. It's one with a tall ship and Rock of Ages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for sharing, that makes sense. I want someone to have him tell me that each session is 8 hours, so I can breeze through half hah. I understand that the back heals easier than most areas, is the front notoriously the same? Tomo has a studio in Nagaoka?
  4. I'm planning on having my front torso tattooed by an artist living in Australia, as he visits the US in July. Our goal is to finish before he leaves (about 2.5 months), but he will be traveling through different regions. He says that ideally it should take about 4 sessions, and around 3.5 hours each session. I'm hoping to do 2 back to back days in LA and two days in the bay, a few days apart. I've never tapped out of a tattoo, but I've also never done the torso or close days. Anyway, I'd like to say that I'll tough it fine but I'm naturally a bit nervous. I'm interested in hearing about others with similar experiences. I realize everyone is quite different but insight would be rad. Maybe it's worthwhile to spend the money and spread my days out flying to the other cities?
  5. Pumped to see the final shot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You Made It Weird- It's a comedy podcast like WTF but with a less pathetic host. Marc Maron is cool, but it's too much sometimes and Pete Holmes has been bringing on awesome guests. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We will have our chance again, haha. He ended up giving my deposit back, as it was definitely confusing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Cabs, you're going to hate me. I had an appointment with Capilli in 2013 that was switched a few times and in the confusion I went to Idle Hands instead of Spider Murphys, missing my chance completely. I was so bummed and he was incredibly nice about it.
  9. I'll dust off my durag and go when ETown returns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Watching this was enjoyable but I feel like it really strayed from NYHC. Also, would have been much cooler if JJ, Stigma, or Freddy Madball narrated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That Tony Hundahl tattoo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for sharing @mmikaoj sounds like a serious journey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. This is true. It's interesting to watch because there are many similarities, but it's also difficult to understand. I'm even behind on ASL, from learning in America so long ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That's awesome. Both of my parents are deaf and sign language is naturally my second language. You're welcome to holler if you have any questions or want to share thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Hogg, likewise. Mirin' all of yours so much. I'd imagine we will run into eachother soon or later.
  16. Who is doing this? It looks awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Turned out well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That is awesome! I've never heard of anyone using Bactine on the tattoo. I'm interested in hearing what Tomo suggests. Thanks Beez! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wow, such a humbling experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Both of your arms look dark and bold, which works in your favor if you throw a little color up top on the black and gray tattoo.
  21. Aye, thanks! I wish I caught Simon Erl while he was at Spider Murphy's, that piece is rad. You have some tattoo's that are my favorite from those folks, like the tourist alien and wolf head. Cheers! - - - Updated - - - Funny, I was just admiring your photos earlier today. I like how you tied all of the japanese work together. Also, very jealous of your Robert Ryan tattoo. You saran wrapped it for 4 days? How often did you take off for wash and to let breathe? Thanks for the advice, I'm intrigued.
