  1. Boooooo. I hate when that happens. I am going in tonight ... unless my artist Josh calls me in the next 1.5 hours.
  2. @BrianH, maybe I'm just lucky to be pals with my artist. We have lots of discussions. He just sent me a text last night about my tattoo for today. I love everything he does, so it isn't like I tell him what to do. Anyway. To each their own, of course.
  3. What @marley mission said. I read what you wrote, son. I don't get waltzing in and asking about the rates of the artists before you have even scheduled a tattoo. It's odd.
  4. We're talking at cross purposes here. I'm not talking about Sailor Jerry flash. But if that's what you want, check Instagram for the artists at a shop before you go in. The internet is the way to go if you want to be sure you're getting a decent artist at a particular shop. At the shop I go to, there isn't an artist there that can't pull a straight line. I guess I've just never encountered the issues you are at the shops I've gone to. Good luck.
  5. I'm a girl, so "son" doesn't really work. Of course you need to know to get enough money out of the ATM (my shop takes credit/debit cards, but I realize this isn't always the case). You make an appointment to consult. You talk about the design and get an approximate cost. You talk back and forth via text or email to discuss the drawing he comes up with to make adjustments. You set an appointment to get tattooed and you bring the amount quoted and then some plus tip. You don't walk in and talk about cost to the dude at the front desk. Talk to your artist at a scheduled appointment. That was my point.
  6. I'm going to get started on the rest of my right arm half sleeve tomorrow. It's the inside of my arm/under my arm. WAH. @otisc, your post has made me start thinking about the PAIN of the healing. It's all worth it ... right?
  7. Most good artists are too busy to have someone popping in for a consult. Make an appointment. You aren't a special flower, so don't expect an artist to drop what he/she is doing and come over to meet with you.
  8. This must be your first tattoo, or you'd know that you need to wait until it heals to know what it is going to look like. Too early to tell. Just don't worry about it.
  9. @otisc, looks incredible ! love seeing your progress! @Devious6, screw pool time and go get another tattoo!
  10. Going to get started on the inside of my right arm to finish my half sleeve on Tuesday. Really looking forward to it!
  11. Welcome! Big Johnny Cash fan, so it was cool to see your tattoo. I have some lines from Man In Black with his autograph on my ankle. Want Chris Jones to do a JC portrait on me one of these days. Looking forward to seeing more of your work as you get it done!
  12. It's not a virus. Two silly kids asking for $1,000 for tattoos. They haven't received a cent, so that's quite satisfying.
  13. I don't know either of them, and it makes me want to scream. I just don't get it. The entitlement is baffling. Truly.
  14. That's your problem with it, @bongsau? I'm not funding a tattoo for someone else of ANYTHING!
  15. HELL no. Earn your own money to get tattooed.
  16. I said that at the time. That's not a hate tattoo. Bah. They must have run out of swastikas and Rebels flags.
  17. I've read that article, @byzantine. It's a great rant. I don't think the U.S. show is QUITE as bad, but yes. Same issues in general.
  18. You're welcome. Have yourself a fine night.
  19. Perhaps reading isn't your strong suit, but I just said I was new here. And you are acting like a know-it-all jackass. Thanks so much for playing. Bye now!
