Agreed. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing someone with their throat and hands done, but with nothing else. Not saying you are that type of fella. I won't get my hands and throat done until everything else is almost done, but it will happen eventually. I can't wait to be the Dad who shows up to PTA meetings wearing Dad clothes but covered in rad tattoos.

InDesign a day keeps the doctor away. I NEED TO FIND A STUPID TATTOO TO POST.

the lady and her friend were in the shop getting tattoos
so i had to go up there and say hi...and just like i hoped one of the other tattooers wasn't busy
it's awesome getting something from a tattooer that's been doing it since before many of us were even born
also awesome that he's perfectly happy tattooing it just like it is on the sheet, and he'll take his time even though it's just a little piece of flash
who did this? i think i missed it somewhere in the thread. this thing is perfect!

Definitely stoked to have you here. Your work has always impressed me.
And you're right, sometimes people let dollar signs guide their path.

Y'all had Burton Baton form Dogfish? It's probably the best beer I have ever had.
-
Yeah, from what I understand, it is technically more trying than the already difficult aspect of tattooing. It also hurts like hell. Good luck dude.

I too am a designer, and I use Helvetica and Univers when I want to create a Swiss style poster or minimalist layout. It's a beautiful typeface. But the same can be said nowadays for how many companies are using the Gotham typeface. It's gorgeous, but the market is over-saturated with it. It's a fine line, I like to pull in Brockmann, Carson, Timothy Samara, and Bierut as my daily influences.
As for a Helvetica tattoo, it's hipster pastiche, whatever, they don't know shit about Thom DeVita.

I'm wearing this one, I've since filled in the rest of my arm, but this was her when she was brand new.

I bought a bottle of Elmer T Lee recently. For a $25 bottle of bourbon, it was pretty impressive. Pretty smooth on the top-end. Finishes like rye.

Again though......I was told by some people that they didn't have a too much trouble with it....I personally think they were lying....ha ha ha ha ha!
I don't let anyone tattoo me more than 2 hours. It all hurts to me. I've gone about 2 years or so between every session on my chest just because I don't wanna!

Andrew Conner. He has done one of my sleeves and my chest. Incredibly talented and hard working.

@CultExciter what post number was a duplicate? I can delete....
Oh, I had posted the comment before twice, so I just edited to ask where the "delete" button was. We're all squared. Thanks so much.
-
And on a second note, I actually posted this twice. Where the heck is the delete post function?

If you used to be you never were. :)

Yeah, I would agree with you Kevin (being my name is Kevin also, I have to agree).

In Chinese and Japanese culture, obviously, foo-dogs or shishi are protectors of either important places, shrines, etc. I think the lion is Tibet is one of the four auspicious animals, but don't quote me.

Well, I think it is relatively multicultural. I just have a dry sense of humor. Looks so sick!

a foo dog day afternoon. ha...ha....anyone?

Yeah, I wish I didn't live 6 hours away. I'm going up next month to get tattooed by Steve Boltz. I should just stop by the shop.

A few friends of mine are starting to do this to themselves and friends. I always shake my head and tell them it's a bad idea. I usually also let them know their tattoos look like shit. Oh well, what can you do?
