  1. yeah, I was in elementary school when that happened. I remembered them getting us all together to "talk" about it. Any murder is horrible, but I think because of the little girls involved, people find this crime to really stand out. Especially, with the little girl who had been shot in the head making a 911 call. They never did catch the guys involved (and truthfully I don't think they ever really came close to having any suspects). The two police sketchs were up all over town for years.

execution style murder is nothing new in the area though. Lots of cartel connections running through the area.

  2. My name is Tick. I should probably specify that I am a girl (because I think the name would lead most people to think otherwise through the impersonal relation of typing). I'm 30. I'm boring. I'm shy. I'm technologically challenged (mostly due to my disinterest in technology). I believe in honesty and integrity over all else. I was born, raised, and currently reside in Las Cruces, NM. I have no real interest in living elsewhere, as my home is my sanctuary, and the chihuahuan desert breeds a certain lifestyle and person that I thoroughly enjoy. My family lives scattered about, and I have traveled since I could run. I feel the most comfortable in areas of poverty. I backpack, but never feel like I get to spend enough time doing it. I ride my bicycle, probably because it is bred into me. I paint, because I need to.

I tattoo, because it is the most challenging and rewarding thing I could ever do. It gave me purpose, drive, patience, and security. I used to play in punk rock bands (for like 12 years) but then I got jaded. I spend much time by myself, because after work I'm all socialed out.

This is the first forum I have ever paid any attention to, and that is just to fill those moments of boredom.....

    rock and roll.

  3. I've had 3 sessions of lasering done on a large portion of my lower leg (about half of it), and have had great results. I go to Allan Faulkner (fade fast @ suffer city in Dallas), and because of his professionalism and knowledge would never want to get hit by someone else. After 3 sessions pretty much all the black is pretty sparce, and most of the color is pretty light as well. I've always iced it after the session is done (which feels awesome!) comfortably for the first 24hrs, and because my last session was in the middle of a road trip he hooked me up with some "Humatrx" (a microclysmic gel for treatment of tissue trauma) which was pretty nice. It kept it feeling a bit cooler for the first couple days. I've never had itching, but the 3rd session did cause blistering, which wasn't really a big deal. I just took a safety pin rubbed with alcohol and drained the bigger ones (as per a doctors recommendation). I have never been able to get out there more than once every 6 months (and he recommends longer between sessions is better, and def not sooner than 6weeks). I've also discussed the cover up, and been told waiting at least 6 months is necessary. It's a wonderful tool to aid cover ups! but, it is definitely very very painful.

  4. I had a guy come in a couple weeks ago saying "my brother tattoos, and he does all my tattoos, but I want a tattoo on my crotch, not on my junk, just right above it, and I was wondering if you would do that" so I was like " yeah man, I won' t tattoo your dick, but i will tattoo right above it" and he was like " awesome" looked around and said " is there anywhere more private to do it ( we have an open bay type shop) and I replied " I don't need you to take your pants and underwear completely off to do it" he turned around and left. Haven't seen him since. Weird.

Had another guy come in wearing a robe the other day and glasses with a little sign on them that said " Jesus is lord" who asked if any of us " will finish a pair of shorts". I try to figure out what he is talking about and he shows me his ass which is tattooed solid black like a pair of daisy dukes. According to him they are all the rage in Europe, and once you have them you don't need to wear shorts...... Fucking aye.

  5. Pain is def relative to many factors. I've noticed them all. As I age and am much more heavily tattooed I am so familiar with the process that I dread having to go through it again, and that makes it worse. I try to be super healthy for as long as possible before a big session. That helps. Good sleep, a meal before, relaxation, etc. These are all important. But, hands down, my back piece has been the hardest to take. Mostly all the lining (thank god that is done). Spine and the inside of the ass crack have been pretty consistently the shitiest spots of it, but whatever.

If it didn't t hurt, you wouldn't earn it.

  6. You could spend days looking at terrible tattoo portfolios. There is, by far, more bad than good out there; and, while that was some bad work, i've witnessed "artists" in my city alone who have been tattooing longer than him (and are just as bad, if not worse).... The problem is, some people are just oblivious, have no imagination, and have very low expectations. In fact, that might be the majority of the population. I fault the "artists" more than the clients, but really it all just becomes super frustrating when you think about it too much.

  7. Ms Rad - car surfing would be when in the stupidity of youth you get an adrenaline rush by surfing on a moving vehicle. i.e. holding onto the roof while laying on it, the hood of the car, the side (with window down having whole body out of car surfing the door part), the back (like a truck bed, or whatever)...... really it is just forgetting everything about "safety first" while involved in riding in vehicles. Generally, there is alcohol involved.

  8. I'm clumsy as shit. no big deal, just makes life interesting.....

my worst story was fracturing my skull and tearing my rotator cusf during a car surfing phase i went through. Effectively it ended that phase.....

Graphite in the gums isn't so bad....

Shit on your finger is way worse!

  9. you're welcome out here anytime. Yeah Hatch Green Chile is the best in the world. Hatch NM is only 20 minutes north of Las Cruces, so we put Green Chile on everything.... everything!
