  1. I'd continue for minimum of 14 days. Just because topically things are OK doesn't mean the underlying skin isn't still dehydrated.
  2. The time seems about accurate, I'm doing a full back piece on someone now with a wider back, far more work. Their first sitting covered just under 1/4 of their entire back and he sat for 19 minutes. Thinking he was going to be a tough guy and sit for his entire back, I stopped him there. He called me the next day and thanked me for stopping, said he didn't want to seem like a sissy for tapping haha. Just follow the aftercare you where given, it's so crucial I can't stress it enough. You'll see lots of fading in the greywash over the next 2-5 weeks, and the line work will continue to become less sharp too.
  3. Really great results, you're a beast for sitting for that long!
  4. @David Flores & @Graeme - dry healing and soap and water isn't a viable option for laser tattoo removal. I asked in this forum, instead of that one, because there are far more people here who have healed tattoos, than have received laser treatment in the other forum. I'm not trying to start a flame war over the best way to heal a tattoo, I'm simply looking for an effective alternative to Aquaphor.
  5. Thanks everyone. @else - I'm not vegan, I'm looking to help a client out who is. I'm also lucky enough to be friends with some amazing people who happen to be very in-tune with the Vegan community, one of theme operates a premiere East Coast Bakery (Welcome to Vegan Treats!). It's no hassle, I can explain the problem with harvesting lanolin for you. Most vegans are so because they despise cruelty of any kind to animals. More often than not, sheep are not kept in great conditions and their quality of life, simply for the harvest of wool, is terrible. The sheering process can also be rather horrific on them. Furthermore, the carbon dioxide output of cattle, sheep and other livestock in American alone is said to be upwards of 4x worse than all the cars in America. Info: Which Is Worse: 1000 Cars or 1000 Cows? | Green Living Tips and Ideas This is why vegans abstain from all animal and animal by-products, including wool, lanolin, honey, eggs, silk and so on.
  6. Blisters from laser treatment are slightly abnormal, meaning they don't happen to everyone, but there are a number of factors that will result in you getting them. * Pigments used - with more than 1,000 different tattoo pigments on the market and no FDA regulation, well lets just say you're better off not knowing what's in most pigments. * Laser technician. The process in how the treatment is done, speed, efficiency and proper settings will play a factor * Your own immune system. This does the vast majority of ink removal, and smokers see slower results Color, Size and Smoking Affect Tattoo Removal - WSJ.com After consulting with several tattoo artists, they confirmed that some people are just more prone to swelling. In those instances, they suggest using pre-wrap (Pre-wrap, the best selection anywhere!) for up to 24 hours after the area has been prepped and cleaned per your aftercare instructions. This has been shown to drastically reduce swelling and minimize blistering. Don't ever pop them, follow your aftercare instructions and if anything looks terribly odd call the place you had it done and / or your family doctor.
  7. Looking for a vegan option to using Aquaphor, because it has lanolin in it. Anyone? Must be readily available in the USA.
  8. This is 85% what I want from a Benchmade Benchmade 300SN Ball Axis Flipper Folding Knife Sand G-10 (3.05" Satin Plain) - Blade HQ The only real problem is that it's ugly as sin and who knows is they will make it with black G10. I also love the deep carry pock clip but loath the mirror polish. To buy it means custom making scales for it and having a friend powdercoat the clip. Hopefully they listen to the demand out there who is saying FIX IT
  9. Been looking at those mini grip's - my issue is that I don't like the backspacer, it's a lint trap, and for what they are, I think they are over priced. At the gun show this past weekend I was eyeing up a spyderco Tenacious as a cheap EDC, fits my hands really well too.
  10. I'd say some of the top pieces are Lotus and rose flowers, koi fish and anything with negative space in it.
  11. Another update, it's been crashing, like a LOT on me. Showing up in safe mode, sometimes even after not doing anything. 32GB iPhone4, AT&T, your mileage may vary, just want to let everyone know. Since it's not tethered, a quick restart fixes it, but it's a tad frustrating. Also, Cydia is extremely slow and / or down. With that said, if you're moving from a previous iOS version that's jailbroken, make a list of all Cydia apps you have installed, makes re-installing a lot easier.
  12. Def interested in seeing it. Also hearing really good things about The Master The Master
  13. Anyone see this? VIGILANTE VIGILANTE: The Battle for Expression :: Now Showing In Select Cities
  14. Also went with a new lock screen - we'll see how long I can deal with an analog clock haha Will probably replace the image too, kind of easy if you can SSH to your phone.
  15. Everything looks good, normal and progressing well. Just follow the aftercare, 10% of the work is done with the laser, the rest is your body and your attention to the aftercare.
  16. Just a heads up... there appears to be an issue with iOS 6.1 + Winterboard, your phone's lock screen will light up on new notifications however you have them set, but you won't actually see the notification. Kind of a pain since I now need to unlock to see if I have a text. Talked to a few developers, they are working on it now. Otherwise, I'm now on iOS 6.1 with the evasi0n jailbreak, no other issues.
  17. My lock screen: Also have a customized notification center and 5 icons in the dock, without names under them, or any apps. I just prefer the clean look of stuff I guess. The lock screen is dynamic to show me, at touch, current weather, today high / low, tomorrow, and multiple cities. It is not geo-location aware though, but I can live with that.
  18. Hey look - redsn0w actually did a whole article on it: Prepare Your Device for Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak [Guide] - Redsn0w, Redsnow Jailbreak 6.1 untethered - iOS 6 - 5.1.1 - iOS 5 I feel dumb haha
  19. Since jailbreaking isn't illegal, only unlocking (as of a few days ago) I hope this doesn't violate any TOS - mods contact me please if you feel it does. I've been stuck on iOS 5.1 with the redsn0w tethered jailbreak for some time now, but tomorrow this is supposed to be available: http://evasi0n.com/ Anyone update iOS and then re-jailbreak? I'm assuming I'll have to re-install everything, as if it was the first time over again (tweaks, hacks and other tidbits I use jailbreaking for)?
  20. Has anyone seen the first Bourne Identity? From 1988: The Bourne Identity (1988 film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia / The Bourne Identity (TV 1988 How the whole thing is on YouTube (at 360p resolution) is beyond me but when I have a spare 3 hours I'm going to try and sit down and watch it... Thank You to XBMC + YouTube on an Apple TV haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqmW3UusClM
  21. Thanks @Brock Varty & @YOMONEY - I probably said this elsewhere on LST but when we started, we made it clear in our plan that we don't want to shame people about having tattoos, for any reason. I also am not offended when someone only wants a few treatments because they want a cover up. At the end of the day, we (business partner & I) want to make people happy. Tattoo removal is very different compared to being tattooed. I build relationships with my clients, I see them every 4-6 weeks for months on end, in some cases a year or more. They need to be as comfortable coming into me as possible, because they obviously don't like what they have on them, so why make the environment one of regret and shame? Seems like bad business. We offer a standing discount to enlisted members of the military and first responders, but like I said, are trying to work with recruiters about those wishing to enlist and trying to find government money to help even partially fund removal of tattoos for those who are re-entering the working world after being incarcerated, no longer in a gang or former member of a hate group. Also looking to partner up with local job fairs to help those who tattoos in visible locations (knucks & necks) who are now having issues pursuing more "conservative" jobs where such tattoos are frowned upon. We're all tattooed, we all know that there shouldn't be prejudice but there is, and sometimes you just have to bend a little "for the man" as they say. Having worked in NYC, it's perfectly acceptable to be tattooed up and down, left and right, in most industries. Go to small town USA, totally different story. I also agree with the pricing. We're not undercutting our local competition, we're competitively priced, but due to promos, sales and specials you can probably get a slightly better deal through us. That said, I have a few clients who come in from a neighboring state and would rather drive 2 and a half to three hours to me because their local options cost THREE TIMES what we charge!
  22. Just a quick question... what's worse? 1. This chick's face tattoo 2. Guy with 15 Miley Cyrus tattoos 3. Guy with growing Avatar tattoo collection 4. Mr. Cool Ice
