  1. Oh I absolutely do! I majored in psychology when I was in college. Must be extremely difficult to have ties with people or build a relationship/friendship. You never remember them, or anything. It's very fascinating but what a rough life...
  2. It's also hard to direct people towards styles & advice considering there's so much out there... like I mentioned earlier it's really personal... As for tattoo artists taking advantage of your ignorance. Nothing is stopping you from going to just talk to them...Don't ever let anyone push you into leaving a deposit or anything if you don't feel comfortable. Don't just go to one shop, take a visit to a few... Many people including myself used to just chill out, looking at portfolios in studios. Take your time, and have fun with it.
  3. Yea exactly..or if you have Korsakoff's syndrome... even then...so lame.
  4. Yea I've seen something similar going around the internet. Why did you decline? (curiosity)
  5. For choosing a style... I usually think what kind of message I'm trying to unite with my piece. So the style of art will match the meaning of my tattoo as well. I wouldn't worry too much about details fading. I find that so personal since everyone's skin is different. My artist was surprised mine still looks like I just got it done. I'm a big fan of realism. Especially if you're getting a beautiful animal like a wolf or bear. I find the ones that look like illustrations (or a painting) are absolutely amazing if you don't want TOO much detail.
  6. Wow the spider-web actually kept pretty well. I would say nicest prison tattoo I've seen. heh
  7. It's my second piece! My first one is a decent size as well. Got it later than most, at 24. heh
  8. Hmm not sure what happened to my other post... gonna try again.. Anyway thanks reverend! I do have tattoos, and here's one of them EASTSIDE tattoo parlour - Belly Dancer from my artist's website. Still in progress, can't wait to finish it this summer.
  9. Yea the hairline is a little off. But damn, overall just amazing work. I'm just glad he got that garbage covered. Must have been devastating for the poor guy...
  10. Hi all, I'm 26, originally from Montreal, QC. Now I live in Vancouver the last 5 years. Really loving this forum, and it feels great to jump back into posting again. I'm more of a loyal, long-term kind of poster when I fall in love with a site. :) I love drawing, art, and I have my own little studio in my home. I'm definitely looking for an apprenticeship, working towards that... Looking forward to sharing my tattoos & stories, and hopefully meet some cool people! Cheers everyone. xox
