1. I looked through the after care threads and didn't see any about long term care.

My oldest piece isn't much more than a year old and I still hit it with a little auqaphor during the course of healing the others.

When I told my artist this he kind of chuckled and said something like that'll keep'm moist and didn't advise for or against it.

So my question is, is this good? Bad? Make zero difference over the life of the tattoo? I ask because my tattoos are pretty vivid or sharp IMO and I'd like them to stay that way for as long and as much as possible. I mean I get it they fade a bit over time etc but they cost hard earned money and if there's a way to ensure they stay vivid I'd like to know ;) also if I'm just being a NewB I'd like to know :)

keep it out of the sun like was said and if long sleeves are not an option ,then use sun block like SPF 50 as a everyday thing.

  2. I doubt it's all that awesome in the big scheme of things, but Molly (the Big Dug!) was looking pretty pleased with herself last week on the top of Cairn Gorm. Scotland's 6th biggest mountain, no less!

I was with her, for the avoidance of doubt. ;)

way nice picture & dog ! love it

that's "Post awesome things you have been doing recently" worthy for sure !

    "Jaunty Seattle Battle Ponies"

    "I Tattoo The Elderly"

"Room Service For Seven: The Circus Chronicles"

"Sherlock Holmes and The Case of the Self Loathing Apothecary"

    "Shakespeare in Sheboygan"

    "Cryptic Nasal Performances"

"she died two days after the day before yesterday" :(

  4. Hello there.

This is my first contribution to any kind of online forum, let alone a tattoo forum, and even more specifically, one that is dedicated to maintaining and promoting the integrity oh high quality body art and professionally minded artists. I must admit that I have been a little resistant to forums in general in the past as I found that they often quickly descended in to torrents of personal abuse and platforms for the most ill informed and and opinionated members of society. However, from what i have seen so far, Last Sparrow has given me cause to dip my toes in to the forum world and hopefully contribute to the type of forum I would like to see :)

I guess I'll just get to the point with a bit of information about my tattoos. I have two bio-mech full sleeves, both by the same artist, Eddie James. My left arm is grey wash while the right is colour. Ive got some medium script on my stomach, while my most recent acquisition is a hot rod styled pin striped skull on my left calf area. X-tal at Ink Embassy in Cairns did the skull on my calf, however i can not remember for the life me who did the script on my stomach, it was a done back in 2009 at a shop in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, that's as much as i can recall.

Anyway, I hope to contribute if and when i have something worthwhile to say, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

Ill put some images of my other ink in to my gallery.

those are some sick tattoos !

    way rad dude !

I hope that isn't just a clever name.

LMAO , names are funny ,the good thing about mine is that it's probably not going to be in use at most forums ! LOL actually I thought it was clever.
