I need to stop reading this thread. I want to start on my torso soon and keep coming back to this thread reading it over and over getting sicker feeling with each reading. My palms are sweating as I type this. I just have to remember each time I get tattooed its not as bad as I think it will be.

Yes I know the feeling. I started to loose the will to live very quickly.

I have waited to long add my tattooer to this thread. He lives here in Japan but travels to Mannheim, and Philadelphia (well before philly, had a problem at the airport that he is working on) regularly. Traditional tebori artist, good guy, and fun to talk to. Bunshin Horitoshi

I was thinking, and then Richard confirmed... As far as we know, he got one of the first rose morphs on the back of his thigh, a piece by Ed Hardy, it's a design that he saw that was in a slide show he saw back in 1992... It hung for years in the shop, and no one ever got it... He was "amazed" no one had gotten the piece yet... And they actually didn't call it a morph, the term they first used was, "HYBRID"... It's a Panther-Rose... It can be seen in the book, Tattooing the Invisible Man.

It's one of Richards favorite tattoos.

There as a great story in one of the tattoo time mags. I think it was in Tattoo Time? Fuck, can remember. It was either Thom Devita, Ed Hardy, Mike Malone or someone else who told how one girl got a person hanged as a tattoo and to her it was about horrible acts. But everyone thought her to be racist. And then there was other stuff relating to gory etc images.

Was it Tattoo Time? Or maybe TAM? Can remember...

It was at the seaport museum here if it is the same exhibit. Sounds like it is. Pretty informative fun little exhibit. Had to do fair amount of reading though. Don't go tired.

Not sure if Matt Rinks is on here but I have also been tattooed by him. Not only is he super talented but also one of the nicest guys I've ever been tattooed by. If you haven't been to his shop either, you should check it out. Pretty neat/worth the trip.

Morimoto is the coolest! He oozes creativity. I always thought it'd be hilarious to get a japanese tattoo with morimoto as a samurai cutting up a dragon into sushi rolls.
