  1. @SeeSea. I like your style. Isn't it great how we can justify and combine these 2 great past times. Tattoos & alcohol. Ooh yeah!
  2. The only thing that springs to mind. Panther.
  3. @SeeSea. This ones a New Zealand cider. Is a perfect post tattoo after care beverage in the warm shower.
  4. You'll find you will be judged on your professionalism @TrixieFaux rather than your tattoos. I completely understand the testing of waters though. I had a Nurse Unit Manager say to me the other day....the staff love it when you come on to the Wards Mick. Now they know you and have attended your training, they're no longer scared, they think it's cool when you bounce the Wards, talk and laugh with them and just be yourself. On the flip but, I pick my kids up from the extra curricular activities from school rockin jeans and singlets, all the parents avoid me like I'm the plague. Until recently, a couple of them started striking conversations and shit. One mother asked me last week...so Mick, what is it you do for work. I said...oh, I work for the Qld Govt, look after mandatory compliance to assist in National accreditation reviews for 5 major Metro Hospitals. The look on their dials were like pure shock. I love that shit. Yeah, not just some no hoping, tattooed Harley riding thug you envisioned hey. I love educating the straights that we might have a brain too.
  5. Don't over analyse the line work. Don't worry about the compass. Go with your tattooers recommendation using subtle colours. Don't look for any flaws, and especially raise any going by the line work. Kick back, cruise with it, enjoy the process, put trust in the tattooer and just say...yeah man, subtle colours sound the go, whatever you think will work best. Slam it in and make it solid. Take a couple of beers along for your next session too. One for you, one for them before you get underway. Looking forward to seeing the final touch. Good luck.
  6. @Graeme. I got that cold pack back of neck as we speak. Mate, this is so fkn awesome. I was dreading the burned out headache. Not even. Soothing as fuck. [emoji106]
  7. Cheers. CP, Brisbane Australia @Dumpleton has been tattooing me for a few years now. This will be so much better back filled. The floating stamp doesn't give it any effect ATM.
  8. Cool. Shark slam as posted in lowdown. A combo of everything today included, Shit Maccas breakfast, ice cold pale ale pre tattoo (with tattooer of course), warm pat down post tattoo, ice cold cider/ very warm shower hand washed down with a fragrant free body wash, cold pack post shower. There's no trauma here at all and can tell this will dry flake heal a treat, ready to apt background in a quick turn around. Great combo of advice throughout this thread.
  9. Shark slam back of neck this morning. Shithouse picture, and this is not complete. We need to back fill to tie in, dark water, blood pool and a little between the top fins, but anyway, here's the start.
  10. I haven't heard of Angry Orchard. Magners is great too. The pear wins hands down on all them flavours but. I will travel fun thanks @SeeSea - pictures to follow. Cheers.
  11. Awesome @SeeSea! I'm stoked you find the therapeutic benifits behind this method Can I ask what flavour beverage you opted for please? I'm heading up this morning to share a couple of Coopers Pale Ales with old mate, before we drill shark on back of neck, then home for a pint of Bulmers Pear in hot shower. I'm excited to say the least, oh, and I pick up a new tattoo. Bonus.
  12. Me mate just returned from 12 months in Canada. Home for a week, back on a Road King, today was catch up belting through the hills, across to the Coast, smashing fuck out of gears, riding hard, tight side by side. Yeah, still buzzing.
  13. That shits real "3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please"
  14. Haha. Thanks. I had one too many pints when I updated my sig block. "3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please"
  15. She must of had a blonde moment mate @mmikaoj 3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please
  16. That entire post @bongsau is bang on. Although this quoted text I very much had to highlight. That's exactly what it means. This is what the GP don't understand. This is what I love about this place, is what I love about hanging with my heavily tattooed brothers and sisters, we're on the same plane. The other element which ties into this obviously is the pain. As we've mentioned, learn to channel the pain, we can learn to manage any diversity. Channeling that physical pain through that commitment makes me stronger in mind, helps me rationalise and problem solve life's complexities ...if that shit makes sense. Thanks for a refreshing post. I can feel a good, long ride ahead of me today with my heavily tattooed brother. 3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please
  17. Pretty much just drinking a pint of cider in the hot shower. Nothing technical, I don't think. More ritualistic, but for some reason it works a treat.
  18. [emoji106] 3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please
  19. Never have either. Get asked the same often too. All I can do is guesstimate. It's a round about way for people to try and work out how much ya paid for your suit 3 pints of lager & a packet of crisps please
  20. Fuck. After all these years, after all the tattooing, it took me long enough to work out the ice cold cider in the hot shower trick, but never even thought about an ice pack. Your right, how obvious. I'm getting tattooed this Sunday. I'm gonna give this a shot straight after the cider/ shower treatment. Thanks [emoji106]
