  1. By the way the thread title should have been "Lightest Handed Tattooer" not handest. :o
  2. Some of my tattoo, consists of dotwork. So I think that’s generally a bit easier. The rest of the tattoo was really easy. I did comment how gentle he was. He said it wasn't a conscious thing on his part, its just the way he tattoos. 6 hours to do a 2 hour tattoo charged by the hour? Now that is painful.
  3. @hogg A while ago I was talking to a tattooer who had recently been tattooed with a tebori. He said some of the tattoo was excruciatingly painful while other bits were virtually painless. Very nice tattoo, by the way.
  4. @Reyeslv Yes Stewart's got quite a light hand. I always look forward to being tattooed by @Stewart Robson. Nice & steady. Not long to your tattoo now. Next month, isn't it?
  5. Heres one from El Bara out of True Love Tattoo, Madrid. He's at the Scottish Tattoo convention in March.
  6. I agree. It would never influence my choice of artist. If the tattooer happens to be a bit heavy handed you just have to put up with it.
  7. There have been a few posts on this forum discussing the subject of pain when getting tattooed. Most painful spot to get tattooed, least painful etc. Which tattooer is the most heavy handed. So who do you consider the most light handed tattooer? For me it has to be Daniel Albrigo. He tattooed a Cosmic Skull on my midriff, last year. I could almost describe it as pain free. So who would you consider the gentlest tattooer to have tattooed you?
  8. I thought a Drake was a male duck. This fucker sounds more like a male chicken.

    back piece

    That is fuckin beautiful.
  10. I am an atheist. I am also Satan. Well when I've had a few beers I am.
  11. Shopping on price is a massive mistake IMHO. Tattooing is like anything else you buy and quality comes at a price. My advice for what its worth. Look at the gallery, there's some great tattoos on there. Find an idea or design you like. Find a good artist. Im sure there are some great tattoo shops in San Diego (I'm from the UK so I can't recomend any). Get a quote pay a deposit and set a date. If you need to save some money set a date months away and start saving.
  12. I could try that. The shipping costs make it a bit prohibitive as well. To ship a bottle of Scotch to the USA would cost £20.66 ($32.37) Buy Whisky Online | Single Malt Whisky & More - Master of Malt ship to the USA @£19.95 a bottle or 2 bottles for £24.95, which is actually pretty damn good. Quick delivery as well, takes about 5 days to deliver to the States. I suppose if you are after something a bit special it would definately be worth it.
  13. @gougetheeyes Thanks for that. Dosn't look like you can get Whistle Pig/Templeton Rye/Dickel or Old Portrero. in the UK. As far as shipping whisky to the USA, I found this interesting article So, how are you shipping your whisky purchases into the U.S.? | Whisky Advocate Blog
  14. Thats ok if you like the cheap stuff, I suppose. How about some Dalmore Candela 50 Year Old, from Harrods at £12500.00. I bet that would be lovely with Pepsi.
  15. I bought some Makers Mark to make Old Fashioneds' with last year. I get what you are saying about Woodford. Four Roses has the same sort of refinement. (Well to my uneducated pallette anyway) It certainly would be interesting to try some of the less expensive Aldi-Lidl ones, just to compare. Might pop out there later.
  16. I haven't tried Bulleit. That Bookers looks good, made by Jim Beam, apparently. Not cheap. Works out around £75 + shipping ($117)
  17. @chrislj54 Thanks Chris. Looks interesting but unfortunately doesn't look like I can get that one in the UK. I'll put in on my list though.
  18. I'm really getting into American Whiskey of late. At the moment I've got, at home. Jefferson's Reserve (not much left of this one) Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon 12 Year Old Four Roses Small Batch A couple of my favourites Woodford Reserve Blanton's Special Reserve What are your favourites? Any recommendations from my trans-Atlantic cousins will be much appreciated.
  19. Because some of this stuff is nearly 7% proof. ;)
  20. Got a date with these lovely ladies tonight.
