  2. planning for. a touch. up? you havent even seen the tattoo yet
  3. i zone out usually about an hour in i dont. like. to talk alot while getting tattooed whatever convo is natural really if you are really lucky you might here some cool stories but. hey whats said. in a tattoo. session should stay there imo
  4. not to pick on the OP. - take it as constructive...feedback just one. mans opinion you see but the amount of tattooing process info you. write about leads. me to believe. you were asking alot of 'tattooer' questions i see that as. a bit off-putting but. maybe thats. just me 100 hours of. getting tattooed i never have asked. about ink. or needles. or machine type i just like to get tattooed maybe. a little bullshit. about. life,, the weather, relevant things anyway - some food for thought man

  6. speed doesnt have to be an issue mind you i have been to tattooers that have speeds across the spectrum all great experiences i will say though too slow - for me - is a bit of a drag also i think the best approach on dealing with fees is to say up front your ballpark budget the high end of which should be what you are able to pay i would say plus tip but i know thats a whole other thread worth of contro
  7. agreed to 125? were you haggling? lets hope not 90 minutes - well everyone has their own pace i suppose that seems towards the slower end of slow for this piece btw - it looks like the tattooer hit the mark for what you wanted good luck with the heal enjoy - - - Updated - - - agreed to 125? were you haggling? lets hope not 90 minutes - well everyone has their own pace i suppose that seems towards the slower end of slow for this piece
  8. not digging this season i guess i wish the show was different i think the skull challenges are way more interesting than the tattoo challenges on this show its become a typical train wreck reality show which i guess at some level i'm attracted too:o
  9. @Naiemh is how to mention - use the at symbol and username good post - yeah - in a way you cant escape the 'meaning' connection you might not always be able to articulate in easy language but the connection with image, idea, content like you said - is generally revealing though the meaning could be secondary in nature like spinnng the tattoo wheel your choice might not primarly reflect an interest or attraction you have to the piece but it would maybe represent - your spontaneity and free spiritedness btw havent done the spin the wheel yet but a local shop has 80$ flash wheel def want to give that a try would be fun imo anyway... - - - Updated - - - @Naiemh is how to mention - use the at symbol and username good post - yeah - in a way you cant escape the 'meaning' connection you might not always be able to articulate in easy language but the connection with image, idea, content like you said - is generally revealing though the meaning could be secondary in nature like spinnng the tattoo wheel your choice might not primarly reflect an interest or attraction you have to the piece but it would maybe represent - your spontaneity and free spiritedness btw havent done the spin the wheel yet but a local shop has 80$ flash wheel def want to give that a try would be fun imo anyway...
  10. cool cool watch the interviews check out the lowdowns give your area a few folks are real quick with quality artist recommendations i'm not personally a fan of the bio mech stuff but a good tattoo is a good tattoo and we all dig that good luck in search and welcome
  11. we could derail this thread a little and discuss an interesting topic assigned tattoo meanings and their importance to the collector cause i'm in the camp of believing that you dont have to connect to the assigned or known meanings attributed to an image to enjoy it hey bonus if you do - but i dont think its essential especially when you are purely attracted to the artists work and style from the 'gut impact' perspective thoughts?
  12. curious what you learn here about the design i dig it though
  13. you're off to a bangin start jr making all these quick senseless posts cant wait to see whats next slow it down make a post when you got something purposeful to add - - - Updated - - - you're off to a bangin start jr making all these quick senseless posts cant wait to see whats next slow it down make a post when you got something purposeful to add
  14. @Naiemh - totally respect that btw - if you dont follow on the IG you should check it out http://instagram.com/livedintattoos it might change your perspective a bit of beautiful tattoos sunday they do 'takeovers' which typically feature some awesome 'lived in' tattoos - - - Updated - - - @Naiemh - totally respect that btw - if you dont follow on the IG you should check it out http://instagram.com/livedintattoos it might change your perspective a bit of beautiful tattoos sunday they do 'takeovers' which typically feature some awesome 'lived in' tattoos
  15. hey no bra here but i dont think you should worry about it 10 years...shit alot could happen in 10 years its a tattoo - in 10 years it'll look different no matter what you do i'll bet you'll still dig it so bra - no bra go get some more tatts and enjoy - - - Updated - - - this - to me - is problematic thinking - no offense @Naiemh - I know we discussed this in another thread but to me I see so many threads lately with people obsessing about their 'imperfect' tattoos asking what to do about it - getting tattooed can be risky in a way - because you are giving someone else control of altering your appearance - thats why doing your research is important - in the age of Instagram - i'm not sure i see the excuse for failing to do this - not saying you cant just walk into a shop and getting tattooed by johnny random - you can - just factor this into your expectations and ultimately your perspective on said tattoo - anyway... - - - Updated - - - this - to me - is problematic thinking - no offense @Naiemh - I know we discussed this in another thread but to me I see so many threads lately with people obsessing about their 'imperfect' tattoos asking what to do about it - getting tattooed can be risky in a way - because you are giving someone else control of altering your appearance - thats why doing your research is important - in the age of Instagram - i'm not sure i see the excuse for failing to do this - not saying you cant just walk into a shop and getting tattooed by johnny random - you can - just factor this into your expectations and ultimately your perspective on said tattoo - anyway...

  19. your overthinking it - i dont think the blowout will be as noticeable as you think - tattoos just arent perfect - however - if there is alot of blowout in the tattoo - you might want to take careful considerations with returning to that artist - not saying that you cant get blowouts from good artists you can - but i think there might be a point where i'd look elsewhere personally i say leave it go - get more tatts! - - - Updated - - - your overthinking it - i dont think the blowout will be as noticeable as you think - tattoos just arent perfect - however - if there is alot of blowout in the tattoo - you might want to take careful considerations with returning to that artist - not saying that you cant get blowouts from good artists you can - but i think there might be a point where i'd look elsewhere personally i say leave it go - get more tatts!
  20. ah i'm not sure thats the answer - - - Updated - - - ah i'm not sure thats the answer
  21. the pics are a little tough to read for me in a way it doesnt matter what you call it though i'd call it blow out if your asking of course - let it heal and see where you're at 6, 8 weeks out not the end of the world though you'll notice way more than anyone else of course because its on you
  22. i'm not gonna lie and say i love your tattoo but that said i dont hate it either is this representative of the artists typical work? i have no idea because all we see is whats on you regardless - i say you now have an understanding more or less of what to expect from this artist so if you dont dig their work look elsewhere for your next tattoo and dont expect your tattoo to look 'perfect' thats not what tattoos are about imo the process should go more like this: i dig an artist and what they do i get tattooed by said artist i'm stoked repeat but in the mix is the research you came here so thats a good start for next time stick around check out the threads (latest tattoo lowdown is a must) watch the interviews enjoy
  23. awesome intro - 45 here as well - just went onto my forearms last summer - was very nervous as i work in a school system and wasnt sure how it would go down - but it turned out to not be a big deal at all - plus the students love it (k-2) - anyway - rock on with your big tattoo plans - go for it
