  1. Reading your experiences with the back and no bra issue, not something will have to face anytime soon but it is on the cards. As is getting boobs done. I do have big boobs, so going without a bra for length of time in public, ie. work is not an option. Tattooist has made a suggestion for that area (boobs) and he burst out laughing when I practically shouted NO! at him. That aside, I have OCD, I am getting tattooed in a certain order and there has to be some sense of balance with them.
  2. Yeah, @SeeSea the hobbling is worse than the actual tattoo. I don't feel pain getting tattooed, but do feel pain afterwards. I did laugh getting it done, during a few times when was awake, but did sleep for most of it. To be honest, I think it's worse this time around the hobbling, (more like limping lol) 'cause lightly sprained ankle before hand. Was bad today, cause had no sport tape left. And so had none on my ankle. Once got home from town, strapped ankle up again with sport tape and, it's getting there. Yeah probably wasn't the best of ideas to get tattooed on same leg that managed to sprain my ankle on, but fuck it! At the end of the day, it was my choice and, am not complaining. Ah well, all part of the fun right? :)
  3. @pidjones yeah thanks... I could not wear spikes, fuck could you imagine the damage I'd do to myself wearing them?! I'm bad enough in wedge heel boots! and tattoo update... HR looks like he's been a fight! What with the redness, swelling and bruising on his face, oh and a few mins ago... the fucking itch started! Bepanthen is close by and, it's not going anywhere! All part of the fun though, right? Remind me again, why we do this to ourselves? :p
  4. New tattoo on lower left leg, healing well. Ankle is still a bit fucked though! The saturday before getting tattooed was wearing 4inch wedge heal boots and, tripped on loose paving, went straight down on left knee and lightly sprained ankle. Lots of bruising and swelling on knee, and some on leg. When went to get tattooed on tuesday, wasn't too bad. Just strapped it up with sport tape. First thing he did when he saw me was ask what happened to knee, he was concerned about the bruising but after pressing down hard on it and, I didn't flinch he was happy enough. So yeah the strain of hobbling with new leg tattoo and the ankle is proving a bit much, but fuck, have had worse, will live. H R himself currently looks like he's been in a fight! lol There is some redness and swelling along one side of his face. Also some light swelling from ankle up to top of his hand. Swelling on knee from fall, was away by time went to get tattooed, though fully expect it to swell again due to tattoo. Fuck it, life's too short, will live and will all be worth it when it's healed. Already know what I want for knees and back of thighs and fillers... yeah we did a lot of talking about future work before he started the session. Taking paracetamol in morning and in the evening and, that feeling when first put foot down in the morning or after it's been up for a while, fuck that hurts. Not complaining, a small price to pay. Edit: Bruising has started! Bruising heavily around side of his face, side where hand is, in between space of it and the angel. Bruising on knee has now spread to on top of his face.
  5. @misterJ haha, thanks :) I am planning on getting some more H R Giger artwork done and some pieces influenced by him
  6. There are a few illustrators who I know, that draw for tattoo pieces (I have commissioned one piece from two of them for future tattoos). They both are more than aware that the designs will have to be tweaked, but it is more for me to show tattooist what I have in my head, as these people can get what I have in my head onto paper better than me. Also me telling them where planning on putting tattoo helps them as well. Not all illustrators have their heads up their own arses! :p
  7. Saw hello to my new tattoo, which I got done yesterday, pic was taken by tattooist shortly after it was finished. A tribute to H R Giger, a portrait of the man himself, it wraps around lower left leg and, was roughly 6 hrs, done in 1 session. I slept through most of it. Tattooed by: Tommygunn in Belfast City Skinworks, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
  8. Welcome, I've PCOS too and, currently drug free. Would agree with the thigh, rib tattoos are good and, if you really want one there, go for it. Just remember to breathe!!
  9. If you don't think mix is confusing, then it isn't confusing! Simple. Tattoos are personal, for you, not for anyone else. Just my 2d's worth.
  10. After nearly 6hrs, I have a shiney new black /greywork tattoo. Wraps around rest of lower left leg. A H R Giger tribute will share pics over next few days, when get back home.
  11. Going back next week to get some more work done on my lower left leg. It'll be a H R Giger tribute, really looking forward to it. Also noticed when tried on my little black dress that way too much fucking skin on back of legs! That will have to get sorted, but one tattoo at a time lol
  12. I start when walking to the tattooists. I get into a deeper state when am waiting for him to arrive/be ready, so by the time he's ready to start tattooing me, I'm already more than half way to a deep meditative state. Which is why I fall asleep getting tattooed. Good luck and I hope it works for you :) I've been meditating for nearly 30years, I can slip into it quite quickly.
  13. Healed photos of my last tattoo. Angel Tyrael (from Diablo) with Giger Wings. Got this finished in December 2014. Done by Tommygunn in Belfast City Skinworks, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Showing the wings wrapping around my leg.
  14. About 10years ago, I worked with a man who did "kitchen tattoos". He tattooed people from his kitchen. Saw some of his work at the time and to call it shite would be kind. He did offer to tattoo me for free, I don't think he appreciated my laughter. Though you don't have to go to a "kitchen tattooist" to get shite tattoos.
  15. @Ducky15568 Ah ok, dunno if that was lost on me due to text or cause of the hour! Lol nearing 4am here. Not an outddoors type as in camping, my idea of camping is staying in a hotel :p But I live in the sticks lol

    Hi LST

Welcome, lovely tattoos. Agree with the coffee one.
  17. Ah the difference in the English language lol Here in Northern Ireland and rest of UK (as far as I know), tattoo studio refers to what you stateside call tattoo shop. A place that is what you would expect a tattoo studio to be like. I admit to having to read the posts several times, to be sure I properly understood. 'Cause it's starting to get confusing!
  18. @Ducky15568 So you're an Internet junkie then? Lol The Internet I could do without. It's good to go "off grid" sometimes.
  19. I go into a deep mediation, think I've said this somewhere before. But, I find getting tattooed relaxing and mix that with mediation I fall asleep. But, I'm not normal :p Though breathing is key. Regular, controlled breathing.
  20. Loving all the new additions :) Will share healed pics of my last tattoo, tomorrow as can't upload pics without url. Am om phone, so may be missing something? Heading towards 3am here and not worrying about it. @Cork that comment of yours did make me chuckle.
  21. @MGblues have fun on your tattoo anniversary. I'm going to ask my tattooists every time I'm in from April, when will they have January ready. Next year will be my 40th, and already have a tattoo planned, want to get it done on my birthday, if possible. @KBeee ah! If only I had thought of photocopying. I painstakingly copy drew out the designs, I wanted for reference. Mind you I still doodle out designs, to give my tattooist an idea of what is in my head.
  22. Is it the upside down cross? Any one who is religious will know that Peter asked to be crucified upside down because he deemed himself unworthy to be crucified in the same manner as Jesus. Which is why the upside down cross is often referred to as St. Peter's cross. I know of a few Christians who have this cross tattooed, in honour of Simon Peter. Spot the girl who had forced sunday school religious teachings until mid teens lol some stuff stays with you. Edit: Just thought you'd like some positive info about the upside down cross.
  23. I agree that looks more like Poe than Jesus, in regards to your spider web concerns. Here in the UK, it means passage of time. The teardrop on face means they've killed someone. Though some people get a teardrop on face because they like the look of it. I wouldn't really worry about it. Don't think too much about it, it's a lovely design. Enjoy it x
  24. Would recommend anyone at Belfast City Skinworks ;) You didn't specify what part of UK and you did mention travel is an option :)
