  1. www.noodtatbros.com Telling ya'll-next big thing (pun intended). Also, I have no idea where that link will take you, so be warned
  2. Pro tip- when you use the FW blue or green, and a drop of water for every drop of ink you use. And you don't need a lot, I end up using about 3 drops of black for an 8x10 with lines and shading; the colors, maybe one drop.
  3. Get some lunch down the street at Cafe Adobe-awesome food (and margaritas if you drink). Dan's a super nice guy and great artist.
  4. I dig what you're saying- the lines are a little loose here and there. I was talking to a tattooer about it and we agreed that he does POWER tattoos- the images themselves, use of color and even those little imperfections add to the overall tattoo in an artistic way. Thom Devita has that same vibe and when you see it, it comes through true.
  5. -cold-press paper in the weights listed in the thread -liquid acrylic (I like FW) in black, red, yellow, green, sepia, blue. I use purple and bright pink, too, because I like purple and pink -watercolor round brushes in sizes 2,3,4 Book-wise, pick up the Dietzel books (Amund Dietzel). If you have the SJ books, you can just look at those-pretty much everything you need there as far as shading and layout. It kind of depends on what you're trying to do.
  6. I saw that on his Instagram feed- amazing! I was telling my girl that I should get something like this, since my hardcore Catholic Mom gave me a hard time about taking part in a Hindu wedding- oh the conflict. Glad it's on you, sir :D
  7. Forgot I didn't have pic of these up here. My 3rd tattoo- Inside right bicep from Ezra Haidet, Triple Crown Tattoo, ATX

  11. search "thigh tattoo" and post in this thread http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-101/960-post-thigh-pieces.html so we don't have a bunch of orphan threads going about the same topics.
  12. I've thought the same thing about a knee tattoo hurting so bad, that I'd get the first done and put off the other, having asymmetry. I think if I start at the thigh and work down, it'll cancel some of that out. I'm weird like that.
  13. My lady was into cupcakes before all the new jacks. Starting a mag for all the legit bakers called " Traditional Cupcake Baking"-none of that bullshit fondant and cacao raspberry filling; strictly butter cream icing and red velvet.
  14. Sheep 101: predators I vote cougar or coyote. Or a wolf-check the wolves design thread
  15. That reaper with the cross stake going through the heart cover is MAD
  16. I think it's because they're based off old litho plates like these: I have a lithobook with the Sailor Jerry 'mad wolf' head in it-seen lot's of redraws
  17. Took pics of my upper body last night- realized a) I need more tattoos b) my chest has not really grown much, but my upper back has gotten WIDE which I like :D Keto this off week; check in on Monday with a Tanita machine reading. May 7th I was 11.2 BF and 141.81 FFM- hoping a little of that moved around.
  18. I don't tattoo, but I've looked at his paintings for reference (back when he was in Juxtapoz) - great expressions and proportions.
