  1. I was tattooed about 40 hours ago now and have been trying the re-wrap method. My artist insisted that I follow this method no exceptions. I had (and still have) a bit of concern, as this is counter intuitive to any kind of healing, tattoo or injury, that I have ever done. So far I have removed the wrap and washed with antibacterial soap 2-3 times a day, pat dry with clean paper towel, leave open to the air for 10-20 minutes, and re-wrap with plastic as instructed. No foul smell, redness, irritation, or infection has occurred. It seems to be healing completely normally. The only negative I am experiencing is dealing with a sweaty hot wrap. I will update in another couple days as to the outcome. Cheers
  2. Agreed. Just got my first leg tattoo yesterday right above my right knee. Feels like I got the a bad deadleg or a bunch of shots. The artists insisted on a re-wrap, never healed this way, I have always unwrapped an hour after and left open. So far it feels like a bad bruise not a cut.
  3. I also think a lot has to do with the artists you choose. A design can be worked to fit and fill at the hands of a great artist.
  4. @exume Thanks, I've read that and it makes a lot of sense. I'd def like to see some pictures once you are healed up, i am lways looking for good examples of that style.
  5. I am looking to get a palm to hand sized piece done soon. My right arm is empty except for a smaller piece on the inside of my bicep. Thinking about starting a collection of hand sized tattoos on that arm. Anyone have advice how to plan groupings of smaller tattoos? Or does anyone have a sleeve of this style who can offer some advice?
  6. Awesome ideas, getting some inspiration. I'd like to get a big torch (location undecided), a stormy umbrella, and finish out my left sleeve with waves clouds some lightening and a big flower. Checking a traditional wolf head off my list this weekend! Cheers guys awesome ideas.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I was first tattooed about 10 months ago. I finish my 3/4 sleeve early next month and I am adding to my right arm later this week. I have added some photos of the current progress on my 3/4 and of the small piece on my inner arm to my gallery. Check them out always happy to share. Finding out quickly placement is the most difficult decision!
  8. Hello All, I am relatively new to the tattoo community. I am currently in Southern California and fortunate enough to be surrounded by many talented artists. I realized that in order to build a thoughtful cohesive collection, I need good advice and thought I would reach out to LST community. Hopefully I can return the favor and contribute. Thanks
