  1. Lochlan, is the Adeline location bigger? i was thinking of Telegraph because that's closer to my work, but if Adeline is larger, that might be better.
  2. Law and Order SVU, Rescue Me, and Sons of Anarchy pretty much. i really want to see Breaking Bad too, but it's not on Netflix instant yet (and i hate getting regular DVDs in the mail now). been getting into Dexter too, but i'm not hooked yet. oh and i love Curb Your Enthusiasm and Strangers with Candy, but i've pretty much seen all of the episodes that exist for both (as well as the SWC movie.)
  3. you pretty much called it Julio.
  4. it's totally unrealistic, but that's sort of the fun!
  5. thanks Lochlan!

  6. thanks! do you have a preference about the meet up? i'll give people a day or so to comment then i'll confirm it on the calendar.

  7. i totally understand and completely agree. my opinion of tattooed men and masculinity was very different two years ago than it is now after being in a relationship with Jackson. it's also worth mentioning that a lot of our friends are heavily tattooed, including both of Jackson's best friends, one who has been tattooed extensively by Scott (if not exclusively). it's just not his thing, and i understand that. as long as he doesn't mind it being mine (which he actually feels attracted to), then we're all good. and Dari, we're both in the same boat about once being rude and still not being good at writing thank you cards.
  8. honestly, i feel dizzy if i don't have food before and after. even with food, i still feel wobbly, but without food, i'll just hit the ground.
  9. i think it depends on the dude. while my boyfriend isn't super aggro or tough like other, more tattooed guys i've dated, at the same time, i wouldn't call him feminine. he's quiet, thoughtful, and kind of innocent (well, at least in my eyes), and i sort of feel like his one tattoo fits him. i know he wants more tattoos, but would rather go record shopping than save it for an artist. honestly, i didn't expect to be attracted to a guy who wasn't interested in becoming (or already was) heavily tattooed, but what i've discovered is that in some ways, Jackson's lack of tattoos let me focus more on him. that doesn't mean that if things didn't work out between us, i would never consider dating another heavily tattooed man. just to me, i guess having or not having tattoos doesn't determine what i feel or think about a person anymore, as it once did. and by no means Dari, did i think you were passing judgement or being rude. obviously you were just stating your opinion :) i do tend to find chest pieces and neck tattoos attractive, unless they're on a guy who doesn't have didly squat anywhere else. flowers or roses on a guy are always nice, as i feel they add a touch of class.
  10. awesome Nicky. i don't drink, but if i'm in the area and need a soda or a snack, i'll stop by. anyone opposed to meeting up on Dec. 1? lanesplitters? is there somewhere else that is more convenient? not sure where everyone's coming from.
  11. god i hate those shoes.
  12. agreed. becoming heavily tattooed always felt like a masculine act that looked really beautiful and could be made feminine, even while retaining the original traditional styles. then again, i've always been a "tom boy"(for lack of a better term).

    song lyric tattoos

they all have images in my head paired with them. most of them i think i have been shortened as far as they can be (and some still need to be altered). each line has an image i associate with it, take "wish you were here" for example. to me that would be a memorial tattoo. it would be the back of a postcard, with the words wish you were here on the one side, then my friends name on the other, and the date he passed away as the postmark (if this could be achieved, otherwise, the date of the letter again on the left). i have one memorial tattoo for him coincidentally, as i have a pair of roses on my feet with the words never forget that were supposed to be filled in the day i got the call from his sister-in-law. i've left them empty since. it's a daily reminder to never forget that life is short, and to never take it for granted. sorry for going on a tangent haha
  15. real bummer. who wants to go to Barcelona anyways? it's not like there's amazing food, art, or culture in spain...
  16. agreed about Zachary's not being good for crowds, but i don't mind having cheeseless pizza. wednesday's in general are good for me, but this wednesday may be a bit of a pinch as tuesday is my birthday and then thursday i'm skipping town, and i've got to fit in homework in between. what does everyone else think? if this wednesday works, then i'll just fit it in.
  17. that's exactly how i felt too! i remember sneering at the ads for it while watching rescue me a few years back thinking "great this is another show just exploiting the stereotypes of motorcyclists blah blah blah", but man, it's soooooo good! Katey Sagal is totally a babe. i only hope to resemble her when i'm older (which i won't but that's ok). i think there's goign to be an intervention before they bone, but part of me sort of hopes there isn't! it would be so scandalous!
  18. D and Lochlan, are you two serious about Zachary's or are you kidding? i can't tell. as long as we can get a vegan pie, i'm down.
  19. i hear ya! between working full time and taking two classes on art history, my time is pretty eaten up too. so it would be nice to meet up with a bunch of folks, have some laughs, eat some food, share some (root/ginger) beer, and maybe catch up with each other. does that sound doable Tammy? i'd hate to leave someone out.
  20. anything in the works? would people be interested in meeting up? i know some of you see each other on a regular basis so maybe this isn't necessary. just thought it might be kind of fun...
