  1. my main wish is to finally get my knees done!
  2. yeah i can understand getting attatched to them! i do have some that i will never sell i think.. i often spend around 8+ hours on a piece that ends up being maybe 5" across. I actually have them priced lower on my etsy then i normally charge when i do conventions. Most people when they see it in person they appreciate the art and work that goes into something hand made and have no problem paying what you ask! I encourage anyone who's interested in selling artwork to give it a try!
  3. thanks man that's one of my faves! to me it's a panther but i guess the coloring makes it more of a cheetah.. thanks so much for looking
  4. it's too bad chicks like her ruin it for the rest of us tattooed ladies.
  5. It's been an amazing opportunity for me as a non-tattooer being able to have seen all the art in his shops and a lot of stuff him Mike, Richard and others who've been through the shop have collected over the years. Priceless really. Being around his shops really helped me learn a lot about art and what a good tattoo can be.
  6. thanks guys, i'm super happy with how it's turned out. i've got a one or two more sitting to go! can't wait to get it done! and yeah Jake, Mike's panthers are the best ever
  7. she's going to Inksmith but I won't be there because I'm in Canada!
  8. erik inksmith dosn't have a ton of tattoos and he's still good and doing tattoos to this day however, i would never get tattooed by someone if they didn't have visible stuff
  9. Unfortunately i'm not in Florida right now! It's too bad because I've heard lots of great things about you and your shop.
  10. I don't think this ever goes away! At least it hasn't for me either..
  11. In my experience the worse your back is before getting tattooed the worse it will be while getting tattooed. If you have any really sore spots, get a massage about 4 days before getting tattooed. I also found that when i started working out regularly it hurt less and I was able to go longer. Overall it was the most painfull tattoo I've gone through. Outlining across the tops of my shoulders was the worst by far. It felt like being cut open is really the only way I could describe it. Healing for me was really easy. I did many short (1-2hr) sitting instead of fewer long ones, because of that there wasn't a lot of huge areas at once, or a lot of layered colours so I didn't get and large thick scabs really. I don't sleep on my back so I never had my clothes stick to the tattoo. I also always left the bandage on overnight the first day which keeps anything from sticking. In the end when it's all done and healed having it there is a great feeling even though you never get to see it.
  12. there's some amazing stuff in this thread! totally blown away. anyways here's my back, in progress by Mr. Mike Wilson at Inksmith Jax Beach obviously this has been worked around an existing tattoo on my upper back
  13. Hey guys, I make these rad (i think they're rad) hand embroidered things. Hand embroidered means no sewing machine, just me and a needle and some thread. I'd love it if you checked them out! You can see them on my blog www.thread-wizard.com or my Etsy store Thread Wizard by UrsulaThomson on Etsy Also huge thanks to those of you who've bought my stuff online and at conventions! THANKS!
  14. Hey All, Some of you know me and some of you don't. Well I guess you do now. I'm from Canada, but stay in Jacksonville FL. A lot of you know my man James Buie at Inksmith and Rogers. If you are interested you can check out my website www.Thread-Wizard.com And no, I don't do tattoos. I just look like it hahaha.
  15. the more awesome of a tattoo you want and more awesome of a person you are the quicker you'll get a tattoo in most cases! but really a three year waiting list is a bit much, there's other people you could get tattooed by who are just as good or better the longest i've ever waited was for Mike Wilson but it's usually only about 1-3 months depending on his travel schedule
