    Always found it interesting that religious designs have been such mainstays within tattooing. Maybe, as with the artwork, it's because the designs are so bold? I really love a lot of the icon artwork, which has very set rules and can be very intricate, but was created to still be simple enough to see from far away (on a wood panel or wall). My back is completely clean, have been thinking for years now about a certain icon backpiece.

    You win the lottery, Bunny? You get tattooed with the frequency I wish I could get tattooed! Got a panther head from Mario a few weeks ago when he was in NY. I'd been wanting to use that space (inside of my right bicep) for a panther for a while and really glad I could get it from Mario, who was super nice. And quick! Hopefully I'll be able to get some bigger pieces soon, too. (Finally got a good picture - swiped it from Mario's FB):

    MLIW is one of the only hardcore bands I can actually claim to still like/listen to -- so good!

    PANTHERPANTHERPANTHER! Mario was super nice, I'd been wanting to get something from him for a while.. hopefully more and bigger stuff to come. Now I can finally comment on the "new tattoo" thread.

    Yep. Take a deep breath, don't try to cram a bunch into one design and relax. I think it is good to have a combination though. Get meaningful tattoos all you want, but throw in some less intense ones or something you get on a whim. Feels good!

    Shower, tip, gum. Not a tattooer, but I also think it's impt. to remember these dudes and ladies are trying to do their job. We're stoked to get tattooed and shoot the shit, but they're trying to concentrate on getting it done.

    When I was out in CA I snuck around behind Gaspare’s back.. but I knew I was going to since I’d been wanting to check out Hawleywood’s for a couple years. Dickies put up this video with the shop’s founder, Donnie. (I went to Jimmy in Long Beach who was super nice.) Best damn haircut I ever had. I didn’t have a PBR but I did pee with the door open…but that’s only because I didn’t realize the bathroom had a door.

    It's funny how when you pick just one basic design the possibilities are endless. So since we're talking about panther tattoos, tiger tattoos, etc., what do you like in a lady head? And who do you like for a lady head? Contemporary tattooer or past tattooer? I'm not a tattooer myself, but I like dark eyes/eyelashes and the heavy makeup/color thing. And lots of dark hair.     There are a million things that go into each one, consciously and subconsciously.. Some have been more on a whim, others have been mulled over for years, some have been a combination of both, if that makes sense. Here's an example: I'd wanted a Poe tattoo since I was probably 13, thought about it forever and had the chance to get tattooed by Todd Noble last year. So I made an appointment, he drew something up and we put it on. Encompasses everything about my goals, inspirations, fears, interests...and then got it done in what seemed like a split second. Weird.
