  1. see now all I can picture is a roster tattoo on my dick... and some joke about rising early in the morning!
  2. For me right now I am sticking to ink that can be covered. I am hoping to plan half a body suit on my right side from elbow to knee, which is what brought me here :) Today, I don't think I will have my hands or feet tattooed, but maybe. I don't think I will ever have a tattoo on my face or neck, nothing wrong with them it's just not for me. Also can't see getting a tattoo on my genitals.
  3. Welcome, welcome I am new here as well but have found it a very good place for tattoo knowledge... some very smart and talented cats around here.
  4. Congratulations, marriage has been wonderful for me. I hope you the best. Any special tattoos?
  5. You are right in this for sure. Now that I am back on the horse sort of speak I am just trying to figure out who I want to do my ribs. When there is research and travel involved it has to be more than just getting a tattoo.
  6. I ride when I can... kind of hard when I live so far away from my bike. I ride a Suzuki V-Strom 650, we have a lot of dirt roads in Newfoundland so a dual-purpose bike was needed.
  7. @ursula I have not seen it done, but some of the older women (tattoos were mostly for women) with traditional tattoos. No to the Igloos, but I have seen them built and we build them in school yes to whale blubber, it's called muktuk and it's not bad, but not real good.
  8. Yup Newfoundlanders are a strange breed for sure, and there are places home that I don't understand the local dialect :)
  9. hmmmmm I wonder why that flickr link is broken? snowman
  10. @hogg yes, that is exactly how I answer the phone... sheesh @AlannaCA Nunavut is not bad, cold and dark but not bad. You get used to living here, the worst part is the isolation. We have snow now :(
  11. @dari and that they do Newfoundland dogs roam the vast fields of the island like wild ponys. I will send you a picture someday :) @Lochlan I am so glad they did suggest this place to me, I have been reading non-stop! Great site and great people
  12. yikes, now I feel I have to self-censor all my posts. I have commented to people "nice work" or "where did you get your work done" I say I have a half-sleeve and I do call it "ink" I'm very glad I just read this entire thread... I am going to adjust my personal dictionary now, well not really @JAllen I agree with you 100% I have been calling it "the quest for cool" for a long time. I preach it to my students daily. If you are trying to be cool you will never be cool, just be you.
  13. If a tattoo artist walked into my school, half the boys would try to get tattoo on their face and necks as their first tattoo. We talk about tattoos a lot and I always try to express to them the importance of how your tattoo will impact your life. IMHO this guy above needed that talk.
  14. bringing an old thread back to life but I put baby aveeno sun screen on over the summer on my fresh ink, maybe 3 or 4 days old. Oh my God did I have a bad reaction, I broke out in a rash and I wanted to peal my skin off! I was so afraid that there was going to be damage to the work. Luckily all was well... but I will never use that again. I figured if it was safe enough for my wee boy's skin it would be good for my ink. WRONG
  15. only have a half sleeve so I only have half a ditch and yes it did suck. I also found the front of my shoulder right above my arm pit, if that makes sense. Thats all I got right now... I will keep you posted as my ink progresses :)
  16. I have left phone chargers and almost left my iPad charger... but the funniest thing I did was unknowingly steal the hotels hair dryer. I 100% thought it was my wife's. I told her I had it packed and everything. When we got home she was like "who the hell owns this hairdryer!" opps... dumb me, I guess that's what happens when you don't have hair I phoned them and returned it :) They thought I was dumb as well
  17. Love the show and I this season seems like it is going to be a good one. Can't wait for episode 2
  18. Good day everyone, I am so happy to have found this place. I guess I should start with a little about me... I will try to keep it short, I tend to talk a lot :) Name is Craig and I live in Resolute Bay, Nunavut in Canada's high arctic. About 600 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Been working in the school here going on 8 years. This is our last year this far north as we got a 18 month old boy now and he needs to be closer to family As for ink, I have some simple script on my wrist "baby steps" I had a small spider on my chest and a BAD band of dragonflies that I got from flash at a street shop on my right bicep :( I had both of those covered up with a dragon half sleeve and chest plate. I went years between the dragonflies and the dragon because I could not find an artist that I trusted. I now preach to all my students NOT to rush a tattoo. My recent work was done at Trouble Bound Studios in Newfoundland, which is where I am from and spend my summers. Pics will follow I promise when I get my good wife to take some for me. Anyway I have been hanging out on twitter a while now @str8edg and was directed here. I am planning some more work and guess I need some guidance. Before I start spouting off questions I will dig in the archives a little and see what I can see. Thats enough from me for now, thanks for reading... if you did :)
