Hogrider reacted to TattooedMumma in The ladies thread
Well it's been a hot minute and I've had a heap of family stuff going on including a loss so had to cancel some appointments.
Managed to get a couple done last weekend though.
Bat, cicada , and angry cloud.
A first for me- I almost fell asleep. I think purely due to the fact this was the first time I'd stopped since all of the things decided to happen.
I'll get around to that elbow in the coming month I hope.

Haha there's so many spin off conversations I want to have but this is a public space 🤣
You saying the butt isn't that bad though has me living in hope. I'm a while away from getting my butt done, so I'll live vicariously through your experience til then.
Keep us updated!

Hogrider got a reaction from TattooedMumma in What a pain in the ass!
I started working on my ass yesterday! Tattoo I mean. I’m working on a body suit and that pasty white ass was really bugging me so I decided to get that tattooed too.
I told my artist he could do whatever he wanted, which has always worked out well. My wife said, “ You told him he could do whatever he wanted with your ass?” It’s not as creepy as it sounds.🤔
it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. A little tender around the crack, but not unbearable. He did the outline yesterday, we’re going to color in two sessions, depending on how well I sit.

This post is over a year old. She's unlikely to ever see any of these replies.

Hogrider got a reaction from Syntheticfish in We need a Stickie thread about infections, healing, blowouts in the Initiation folder!
Newbies mostly, come on all the time asking if something is infected. It's true, we aren't doctors, and even if we were, we shouldn't be dispensing medical advice over the internet, BUT some of us have been around long enough to know what to look for. If it's not hot, oozing, smelling, extremely painful, it's not likely to be an infection. That's just a fact. I'd be the last one to discourage someone from seeking medical advice if they were concerned, but there are indicators.
Same with healing - people come on all the time, "I've had this tattoo for two days, will it heal right?"
Same with blowouts - "How do I fix a blowout?"
Same with reactions/allergies - "My tattoo itches, am I allergic to the ink?"
There are probably some others that I'm not thinking about. Just food for thought.
And for Christ's sake, don't come on the forum asking for advice and then start arguing! If you already know the answer, what are you asking for? And if you don't know the answer, why are you arguing with my answer?

I'd leave them as is. Those are nice for 30 years old.

Hogrider got a reaction from oboogie in Black vs colour!
Durability has nothing to do with color vs black and gray. Durability depends on your skin, how you take care of your tattoos (stay out of the sun and moisturize), skill of your tattooer.

Hogrider reacted to Dan in Black vs colour!
why do you say that color tattoos are not as durable ? if a tattoo is applied properly it doesn't matter if it's black & gray or color, it all lasts the same. I have color tattoos that are brighter and more vibrant than some of my B&G pieces ,and that's after years of healing on all.

Hogrider reacted to Qiriarol in Black vs colour!
I prefer colored tattoos. I don't think they're as durable though

No, they look like generic sh!t that someone who has never tattooed drew.

It's just healing. You can get it touched up if you need to.

Hogrider reacted to Dan in Went to a new tattoo shop..
just keep it clean with anti-bacterial soap and keep the lotion on it a few times a day, it will heal.

Sorry, that just hurts. I had a Shepherd who passed 10 years ago and I still start crying if I try to talk about him.

It's just waves and windbars and cherry blossoms. We talked about a bunch of ideas, but there really isn't a whole lot of space and we have so much going on it would probably have been too busy with more images. My back piece is my avatar, I have a tiger and a meditating samurai and koi on one leg and a female samurai riding a tiger along with a snake and skull on the other leg so I was OK with keeping it simple.

Hogrider got a reaction from oboogie in Help choosing tattoo skin grafted skin
I would continue the Japanese theme. Go to google and put in Japanese dragon tattoo sleeve and you’ll get thousands of images and ideas.
