  1. anyone in the area i highly suggest going to this! meeting nick bubash and seeing his work alone is worth it, the gigantic portfolio full of devita stuff makes it completely mind blowing.
  2. author of the encyclopedias is Danzig Baldaev, who was a prision guard in Russia
  3. looks awesome. i've got the 3 russian criminal encyclopedias, i'd like to get my hands on that as well!
  4. drove down to frederick, maryland and got tattooed by alex boyko today.
  5. welp i am now getting tattooed by alex boyko september 3rd while he is guest spotting down in frederick, md. then the 5th i'm getting tattooed by cole dunn. taking my vacation from work that week so i'm getting paid to get tattooed twice and then the following week is my birthday. going to be a great month
  6. I believe that one is the "Steel City" convention, the MOTM is September 5-7th. This one is more traditional tattoo oriented, and the better of the two, in my opinion.
  7. anybody around the area going to make it to this? a lot of good tattooers on it this year. i've got an appointment with cole dunn on friday.
  8. max kuhn tattooed my whole back in around 12 hours total. it didn't seem to be going by quick while i was getting done but thinking about over it now that it is finished i think i lucked out. mario desa is super quick too. outlined a scimitar on my stomach in literally 10 minutes around 2 years ago. the whole thing took about an hour and 20 minutes which again i'm grateful for because it was pretty awful. timmy tatts & lowercase j are both very fast too. timmy outlined a friends rock of ages backpiece is 45 minutes!
  9. welp i just got tattooed on saturday and i'm beyond broke but i just made an appointment to get tattooed by cole dunn again @ the pittsburgh convention. no more after this one for a while ;)
  10. i agree with everyone recommending you to wait & get some smaller tattoos first. i just finished my back up a few weeks ago, i know damn well if i would have jumped in the deep end and got my back tattooed first, i probably never would have finished it or even finished the lines. back tattoos are no joke; they're a very big commitment between you and the tattooer, your pain tolerance, and of course your wallet. nothing ever works out well when it's rushed!
  11. tony hundahl drew this reaper on my thigh tonight @ pagoda. he asked what i wanted to do so i just showed him a spot and let him do whatever he wanted.
  12. not 100% sure yet, i told him maybe an eagle or a cobra or something. i'm not picky and i know whatever he does will be awesome so if he has anything else in mind i won't be opposed to it haha
  13. emailed tony hundahl late last night trying my luck and seeing if he had any space open to tattoo me at the convention on saturday. 2 hours later and he messaged me back and said he left a bunch of space for walk ups and asked what i wanted. so now i'm getting tattooed by him on saturday around 3 or 4. i can't wait
  14. wow man that is real nice. makes me want to get my head tattooed even more
  15. posted this in the backpiece thread but i'm gonna give it a shot in here as well. finished yesterday thanks to Max Kuhn.
  16. wrapped my back up yesterday with max kuhn and it is a great feeling. 4 sessions total, around 13 hours.
  17. i'm curious as to why they didn't use any of his real shitty tattoos for the article.
  18. got tattooed by boxcar the other day. inside of my thigh area
  19. finally got my other knee tattooed this afternoon. by lowercase j
  20. no superman, no numbers. full on eagle across the chest. you won't regret it.
  21. put together a new zine last night with those images above and a bunch more. printed full color, handstamped & numbered. only 10 made. email [email protected] if you'd like one.
