  1. I checked her out on IG and her works looks great. It seems like you'll be able to get the coverup you want and need with this artist. Best of luck with your consult!
  2. You're not doing anything wrong. THEY ARE. It doesn't matter if it's a tattoo shop. You're a customer, and you deserve good service. As long as you're not walking around being a douche, they should be treating you like a customer. To me, one strike and you're out--honestly speaking. If they contacted you in advance, apologized, was sincere, contrite, etc...then maybe hey, sure, reschedule. But if they just decided not to show up, or they're pushing you off on someone else, chuck deuces and move on to the next. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I'd keep researching anyway. Seems as if your hard earned money would be better spent somewhere there are good artists, that show up, show prove, and do their job. That's all.

    hey!

I think once he designs it up, it will be pretty sweet. There's tons of tattoos out there that the concept in "our head" seems weird, but once the artist turns it around, it's fantastic. At least you have ideas of what you want. Some people get tattoos, and then later get "tattoo divorces". Not to mention, one glance in the Asian-themed concepts, and you're about 10 elements short! Post back here with what the Quarles says. Of course it will be months down the road. EDIT: Just peeped his IG, and he's got a profile of Virgin Mary with a Rose, and a head covering, her hand, a circular thing in the background, a star...I'm sure he can fix something for you based on those elements.
  4. That's a suave tattoo design. I can't tell you how small you could go because I don't know you and I'm a very bad visualizer. BUT, your (good) artist will definitely let you know that some of your elements need to be big enough so that they don't blob together after some years or are hard to see. Like the moon, or the details in the pearls above the ribbon. So keep in mind it will have to be big enough to make sure those can be seen/or tattooed clearly.
  5. Don't give any more of your money to that artist. Not for tattoos anyway. Maybe for drinks, or tapas.
  6. It could definitely do with more shading and detail...maybe from a different artist though. How do you like it? I'm not familiar with the game.
  7. Might do you well to take it off in the shower, carefully. Wash with anti-bacterial soap, carefully. Let air dry completely 10-20 minutes, then re-patch with the derm. Just to be on the safe side.
  8. Seems like you can do with finding a new artist as well.

What you can do is Google your ideas. You'd be surprised at what's already out there for you to start your folder stash so you can take to your artist.
  10. Hi, I'm fine! Well no. But thanks for asking. Your puppy sounds awesome. The time flies no matter what we do is what reality always slaps me with.
  11. You can have your entire family tattoo'ed as the Last Supper plus the Sopranos, plus Goodfellas, with a dash of 101 Dalmatians if you so choose. It's all about how you go about designing it (well, the artist's design, that is). I'm not familiar with any Colorado artists, but there are plenty in Cali, Oregon, and Canada, eh?
  12. Welcome to the forum! Such a wonderful baby name!

  14. Is this artist someone you really want? You've seen the work and you're excited?
  15. I totally agree. Anything is possible. Just depends on the research you're willing to do, the money you're willing to spend, and the traveling miles you're willing to cash. Don't let anyone deter you--because it will happen. And don't stop until you find what you want. If I had gone off the "advice" of a couple of posts here, I would have been extremely upset. Instead, I found a rose in concrete. Best wishes!!
  16. Awesome sauce, welcome!!!! You know way more about art than 97% of this forum guaranteed including myself!!!
  17. You can post in the other forums; you just can't start new threads until you've made your 10-15 meaningful post count. Welcome!
  18. That's a nice tattoo. Please let it dry. If it continues to bother you, doctor.
  19. Yes you can show him a photo of what he did before. He'll probably do up something similar but different though.
  20. There are waiting lists for Teslas. Do people just walk while they wait? They have a need for a car, I'm thinking, but choose to wait for a Tesla. THAT SAID: You want to be on a waiting list for a Tesla or a Kia? Your choice! **There are tattoo artists "worth" being on waiting lists for, i.e., Teslas. Those Tesla artists even have very short (KIA) waiting lists and awesome (Tesla) customer service with outstanding tattoos! **Some artists are Porsches (expensive, high maintenance, and questionable worth) and have the KIA attitudes and waiting lists to match. You'll have a Porsche tattoo, but you'll decide if it's worth it. **Should you put yourself on a Tesla waiting list for a Porsche tattoo and a Kia artist? Never!!!!
  21. A handbag designed after famous actress Jane Birkin. Released in small increments annually and customers are put on waitlists.
  22. Looks like that one thing from Dark Crystal.
  23. *Outta the way!* I'll be the judge of this! *Peers closely* No. But what is it?
