Got a phone call and it looks like we are heading to New York soon, like next month. Ha.. I thought we were going to be in Tulsa by now. We're going to go ahead and head south for a minute to take care of some family stuff, so that takes us to Houston, and we will stop off in Austin, on the way back up north.... As soon as I have solid shop information and the dates locked in I'll be posting it up.

Patrick, read the thread, you will find some common names, I don't know of starter kits, but it's always fun to grab the cheap shit on sale and play with it you can grow your supply set as you do as well... Well, after reading all these... I'm not set in an opinion but I do think that the magazines serve a purpose other then jack mags... It's like this... The shops that I have been in, 3 out of 5 of them are badass, it's like no matter what these dudes are gonna do whatever the fuck they wanna do, and if you can't deal with the decor, and remove said stick from ass, then get the fuck out... If you can't take looking at a photo of penetration, (in certain shops) you may want to rethink what you're doing in the shop in the first place... Tattooing itself is an intimate affair, getting penetrated by needles, using lube and vibrating devices, while the rubber glove offers a barrier interpersonally, you're still trusting someone to poke you over and over, and unlike sex, the final result is permanent. And it's not my shop, as we kept such things under wraps... And we'll continue that practice I'm sure in the future...

And even porn playing on TV, or a computer, I mean I was 22 once, I had an office, and a hacked cable box, but behind closed doors is one thing, however out in plain sight; public restroom, or lobby table, or break room area, it's like cat shit in the middle of a nice clean lawn... Just fucks the whole view up.

Depending on what sized needle groupings you prefer I have a few setups that we're both pretty keen on... I have been studying this as to making a future shop purchase for the man... But traveling and tattoos I really think disposable is the way to go. Lighter, Less Expensive, Clean, you may sacrifice the nice solid feel of a heavy steady tube. But less like to throw a fit if it becomes lost in transit for a while.

Quick NOTE: We are not going to be in Colorado for the Zeis Book Release party... already have like 6 emails asking to set up appointments... I removed our facebook RSVP event thingys... Can't commit to it... too many other things going on.

So... I have been in shops that have dirty magazines laying around, usually in the back or in a private area... But I have been in 5 shops that I can think of that XXX not "Pretty Playboy", were common objects on a lobby table or counter... Honestly, I don't really care, I once thought oh no what if a kid sees that, but then again would be like what the fuck is a kid doing in a shop, but now I really wonder: If you were coming into a shop for the first time, would you be offended or put off in some way enough to discourage you from being there at all... I'm not talking about tattooers knowing about a tattoo shop being badass and whatnot, this is purely aimed at patrons, and collectors in general? I mean, no one leaves random dude on dude, making the snakes kiss bullshit laying around, but a few nasty typical pornos doesn't offend the typical female consumer? Whom happens to be the 80% of people getting actual tattoos nowadays, not just talking about it... ? Input?
