  1. And here's me ducking in to Nando's for a takeaway burger all the time. I guess that's because i usually drive to London and have little time to get anything done before i head to the shop, not enough time to look around! Got my appointment with Mario next week so maybe i'll be a bit more brave with my dining choice!
  2. @lving4today just killed this competition, holy shit.
  3. Couldn't have got that awesome spider in Feb or April, huh @jacobyoung :P Congrats man
  4. To this day i can't tell someone to 'keep the change' without wanting to blurt out "ya filthy animal" at the end. One day it will get me in trouble, i'm sure.
  5. Well that post just killed any chance of me getting work done for the next hour or so, assuming this is the same place: Gallery 1
  6. That's my favourite part, too. Wish i could take even the most remote piece of credit for it but i gave Javi little more than "something with a skull and dagger" as reference, so it's all down to him!
  7. Some amazing stuff posted here, wow! Here's my entry, by javi Rodriguez guesting at frith street
  8. I'll second this, red always seems to take longer to heal on me but it ends up looking just as bright as any other colour.
  9. By Javier Rodriguez at Frith Street Tattoo, London 05/03/2013
  10. I tried taking a photo of my latest from Javi Rodriguez but unfortunately i have my right arm in a cast at the moment so it wasn't easy. I've settled for pilfering one from his instagram instead. Done at the fantastic frith street on Tuesday.
  11. I'm exactly the same as you. Hate needles with a passion, i can't even watch a scene in a movie where someone is being injected (hell, even the blood drawing scene in pulp fiction where you don't see the needle at all gives me the creeps) but i'll sit there and watch myself being tattooed all day long.
  12. I think the hardest part of my thigh tattoo was the artist (stewart robson in this case) practically blunting his razor shaving off all my damn hair.
  13. Now officially booked in with Javi Rodriguez at firth street on march 5th (2 days after my bday). Can't believe this will be my first tattoo of the year!
  14. Just seen that Javier Rodriguez is at frith street around my birthday time in march, i spy a self present coming on. Edit: Should've booked said present before letting you greedy bastards know he's doing a guest spot :P
  15. Little late replying but the Brighton convention is coming up in a couple of weeks and that's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
  16. He tattooed me at frith street somewhere around May 2011 and i have to say i agree with you, total gent. Edit: And i'm all booked for April 11th. Something tells me i'm going to need to make an appointment in the mean time to bridge the gap.
  17. Just contacted Mario Desa to see if he has any space during his time at frith street in April. Here's hoping!
  18. Covering a bit of old ground here but for those of us in the uk who are still after a copy of the tattoo time anniversary, gentlemans tattoo flash are showing it on their website for £57 including shipping :) https://www.gentlemanstattooflash.co.uk/node/998
  19. I fucking love Grant's work. Have you seen the burning stuff he's been putting on instagram lately? It's mindblowing.
  20. I just went through the buying process on bookmistress and the shipping shows as $69.65, bringing the total to nearly $120! Sometimes it's tough being a little Englander :/
  21. I've been wondering this too. I saw a post by Doug Hardy on instagram saying to buy from luckys supply (who are only taking orders by phone), hardy marks (who don't accept paypal payments from outside the US) or last gasp (who charge $45 to ship - doubling the cost of the book, before any potential customs charge gets added), but i'm yet to find any options domestically.
  22. @Iwar love that subtle pattern on her clothing, Chad always seems to throw in those little details that really make a tattoo.
  23. Yeah i'm not too keen on the idea of having the artist chosen for me, maybe that's being done because they're expecting a lot of bookings from people who don't know much outside of the '___ ink' shows. Shame really, there are some very talented artists listed.
  24. @jade1955 Yeah i saw guys walking around with full backpieces (well not full, but large) uncovered. Awesome work but i'd want to keep it wrapped up so it stayed that way. Can't help you on the cigar skull function but i will say it looks good!
