  5. So this is what "Jersey Shore" has done to my generation? Fuck me.
  6. To be honest, I think it needs color. It looks unfinished in my opinion. But if you love it how it is, then fuck my opinion. Leave it. :)
  7. I've only been getting tattooed for four years, so I don't have enough experience to comment on a lot of trends and such. But I do know that a traditional style tattoo, be it American or Japanese etc, will always be cool. They were a hundred years ago, they are now. For me, I gravitate towards traditional American tattoo imagery/subject matter because it resonates with me from a cultural standpoint. (i.e. a clipper ship, eagle or an anchor would resonate more with me than a koi fish or something) But the thing I try to keep in mind when thinking tattoo concepts through is how to keep whatever idea, be in something with deep personal meaning, or something for purely aesthetic reasons, looking "timeless". I think keeping things traditional accomplishes that really well.
  8. I've only had one serious relationshit in my young life. When we started dating, I had two tattoos. I have one that is placed on top of my shoulder, and some times it peeks out of a t shirt collar. Every time this happened, she had to change her underwear. That was awesome. However, she also insisted that I didn't get anymore tattoos. Maybe this is because I made the mistake of bringing her to an appointment? Long story short, about a year into the relationshit, we pulled a Ross and Rachel and "took a break". I came back to school after Christmas break with a new tattoo. She saw it and started crying, while yelling at me for not telling her. This was the moment that I discovered that no boobies are worth not being "allowed" to get tattooed. As far as dating someone goes, I'm super attracted to tattooed women, but I'm a man, so in the end, a beautiful woman is beautiful inked or not. I just need to be able to do whatever the hell I want to do with my own skin.
  9. Both of those are spectacular. Good call(s).
  10. This thread is so fucking awesome, I just read through the whole damn thing in one sitting.
  11. I've only lived here for about four years. I went to college in the God-forsaken suburb of Olathe, and fell in love with this town. I do here a lot of people who were here later than you (mid 80's or so) shit their pants about how much has changed. Next time you are back to visit, let me know. We can drink beers.
  12. Dan, that's what the hip kids call uber south.
  13. I too have my next appointment in October, to start a left arm sleeve. Unfortunately, it's been booked since early June, so the summer has been dragging on. I'm fucking poor, so I have to give myself plenty of time to save.
  14. I do have tattoos (Nine so far). I'm trying to find a way to post some decent pictures of them in my gallery like a proper member would do. Most of them have been done by Josh Cruse out of Wichita. But I have some thumb tattoos from Ryan Cooper Thompson (Freaks on 39th, KCMO) as well.
  15. Salutations everyone. My name is Mitch, I live in Kansas City. I've been lurking around a while, so I figured it was time to join up. Looking forward to being a part of this tattoo centered community!
