  1. I'm not familiar with that product,I use Palmers Cocoa butter the week or 2 after the application of the tattoo,Maybe that stuff you are using does have too much perfume/alcohol in it.try using a different lotion then, like I said,I like fragrance free Aveeno or the cocoa butter. we all heal differently, maybe you could post a pic of it ? some cracking and scabbing is going to happen to some. maybe you are applying too much ? that can cause cracking too.you have to find that lotion that works for you and the amount that you use as well,I just use a very light coat of the butter or aveeno,VERY light.
  2. it's not really that big of a deal, using fragrance free lotion is just one more small step to take in healing, the perfume in the lotion has a small amount of alcohol in it which dries out the skin and tattoo a tiny bit,I use Aveeno fragrance free all year long and post healing as well, again though ,it's not a huge deal.
  3. it's a cool design, and the best thing I could say about getting that tattoo is that it would have to be pretty large to even work and stay looking good down the road.If you're going to get that,"go big or go home".So IMO get it big. get it bigger than you think you want it when getting tattooed, has always been a good rule for me.
  4. yep, this is the thing,blow-out can happen to anybody anywhere by any artist. I have some too.
  5. Honest Opinions !?!?!?!? ok,well,I don't really like it,maybe when it's finished it might look better, but again, you asked for Honest Opinions, mine is that it looks pretty badly done.
  6. very cool, nice one ! and that Oliver is the fastest tattooer I have ever seen,I have 3 from him and he hauls ass.
  7. interesting,I have not seen that,I will check that out. I use Saniderm,it doesn't state that on their site,
  8. I don't think that would work,.it's made to use in hot showers, and it works great for that. that stuff sticks pretty good. LOL that's the one thing about that stuff,it does hurt coming off, and it has never taken any of my skin off.
  9. I have been using Saniderm for years now,and I love it,every heal has been great.I have used it on about 10 tattoos now.
  10. this /\ and yes, with a proper application of one of the dermal films, you can do & wear just about anything.
  11. friendly advice, but a touch up on a 2mm tattoo ? in 6 months it's going to look like a couple freckles anyway.
  12. so,just know that tattoos take around 6 months the fully heal if not longer. and also remember that a tattoo will NEVER look the way it did the day it was done EVER again.
  13. so it may be,we burn it everyday here at home.Yes,we are a couple old hippies from the 60's/70's I have been to several shops that burn it and have a mellow gallery vibe.Nice atmosphere IMO.
  14. ok,sorry, but I'm thinking getting infected from incense smoke is a little out there.that's a stretch IMO. I have never heard of infections from incense smoke.I really don't think that's possible.
  15. yes, consider all the good advice, but remember one thing,it's on you,and you are the only one that really matters in the end.
  16. no,as long as it's sealed & was cleaned & applied properly,5,6,7 days would be fine IMO I have done 5 & 6 days before with good success,7 would be fine IMO(speaking from my own experience)
  17. hi and welcome, congrats on finally taking the plunge. fair warning though,it's a real addiction LOL
  18. LOL stop obsessing on the pain ! just go get the tattoo, pain is part of the process ! you are building it up way too much in your head and that will negatively affect your experience. if you are that scared of the pain, don't get the tattoo.

    Hey there

welcome to the forums, where do you live ?
  20. forget the numbing cream ,get the tattoo, you already said it,especially being your first one, feel the pain, embrace it,earn it. make sure you follow a good pre-tattoo preparation. -------------------------------------------------------- here is what I do. sleep good and don't drink alcohol the night before (or the day of), pre-hydrate the day before and day of and while being tattooed,(water or Gatorade) eat a good non greasy healthy meal right before getting tattooed, bring candy (I bring M&M's and Skittles) to eat during the tattoo(the sugar will keep you from passing out),I also bring a banana, beef jerky, and a few cold bottles of water in a little ice chest(no artist has ever minded me doing this,as a matter of fact they have liked it). keeping up body sugars, potassium, and electrolytes will help to keep you feeling good throughout the process , get yourself mentally in a good place.in the days leading up to and during the tattoo. ask for a few 5 min breaks to stand up ,stretch, and get the kinks out. turn the ringer on your phone off this all helps me have a better overall tattoo experience, and the artist will appreciate it too
  21. obessive stuff we think about our tattoos, that happens to me too,as soon as the machine is off,I am thinking of the next one, lol pics yet ?
