  1. Ugh, I had a hard enough time watching the show before. I don't think I can handle an even more drama orientated one.

Hopefully my girlfriend doesn't know there's a new season coming, because I'm liable to turn into an alcoholic if I have to watch "Big Brother may or may not include actual tattoos".

  2. Going in on Friday to finally throw some colour into my elbow. Really looking forward to it.

Plus then I can cover up these burns, which will be rad. Uh, assuming that you can tattoo over burnt tissue, of course. I still have to ask my artist.

EDIT: Doh. I've been gone for too long, I mixed up this and the upcoming tattoo thread.

  3. Is English a second language for you?

I'm having a hard time understanding. When you say "local" do you mean "in someone's house" or in an actual shop.

If you tell the fine people here at LST where you are from, they can possibly point you in the right direction.

If you know so little about tattoos, why are you telling this dude to get a cover-up?

It can be fixed for the most part.

Because he asked for an opinion, so I gave him a fucking opinion. I didn't tell him to do shit, I said I wasn't sure if it could be fixed and I thought a cover up would be a better choice.

  4. Right so it's a lost cause :( I can't really get anything that would over size this because of work issues but let's say I get it removed is that a big asking price?

Apparently this beauty cost the dude $1,200 to remove. Black is easier than colour, and yours looks to be a fair bit larger as well. Honestly, I'd wager it's probably cheaper for you to cover it up.

As little as I know about tattoos, I know even less about removing them. Get some more opinions before you decide to do anything, I can't stress that enough, man.

  5. I'd vote for just getting it covered up. A good traditional rose should look something like this.

Your leaves are all kinds of jacked up (especially in that first picture) and it could be the angle / lighting, but the compass doesn't even look the same size all the way around. That banner makes me sad, so the less said about that, the better. Also, the S looks like an upside down 5.

I'm not sure you could fix those things. Obviously wait for somebody who knows (a lot) more than me, but to my untrained eye, I'd say get a rad panther instead.

  6. I've come to the conclusion that Hotline Miami has the best soundtrack of any game, ever. I just started it and for a top down, isometric game, it's gnarly as fuck. It's like Drive, if Ryan Gosling ate tonnes of acid and beat people to death for fun.

  7. Poutine is horrid fresh, let alone days old <insert barf face>.

I don't think I'll be going, gotta start saving for my back piece :(

Blasphemer! Poutine with bacon is not only the most delicious thing ever invented, it even lets you hear your arteries clog in real time.

I might have to go, it's only a couple of hours away from me. I think. Could be wrong, but it's definitely not very far. Once I finish this current one (T-Minus 2 weeks on that front) I'll be hurting for cash, so I'd just get something quick and small from whoever would take me. :p

  8. Glow ink = cancer! (I don't know, I'm repeating something that I heard along the way...)

I have white ink that's more than 2 years old, and it hasn't faded or discolored. The color started off a little weird, then turned to as bright a white as you can get showing through skin. I also have white ink that was mixed with another color so it is more of a creamy color - it's 7 months old and looks awesome. Even so, they are more highlight "extras" than the bulk of the tattoo. Not a super long time, but long enough to bunk the within a year myth.

Yeah, I'm hardly an expert, but I always figured it was more about the size and concentration of white than time past.

  9. Variety would definitely be best. I'd imagine most people digging through portfolios are gonna end up with more than one tattoo, so it only makes sense to try and reach as many of those people as possible. Plus, it lets you keep trying out new stuff instead of doing butterfly's all day. :p

Bahahaha, what the fuck am I even looking at.

You guys seem to have some fixation with making me spit hot liquids at my screen, that's twice in one month I've decided to go for a mouthful of coffee at the wrong time.
