Hello all. My name is Tim.

I got my first tattoo about a year about. Currently planning my next one. I am wanting to learn how to pick a good artist and what makes a good tattoo.

Here my only tattoo at the moment.

Thanks!

Welcome Tim. Like Graeme said, this forum is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to tattoos. Everyone has very good artist suggestions and are very friendly, so browse through the forum and definitely check out the interviews. They are great sources of history and are pretty entertaining as well. And I too want to know who did that tattoo.

Hello and welcome Tim! You found the right place if you want to learn about good tattoos. Start with this thread, watch the artist interview videos, look through the forums...there's a lot of great stuff here. Who did the tattoo you have?

Thanks for the nice welcoming!

Karl Williams did my tattoo I got.

I am thinking of having Seth Hines, do my next one:

I am thinking of doing some more traditional/neo traditional.

This the "inspiration" picture, for my next tattoo.

I am going to put in on my shoulder, next to my existing one. Thinking of having the tail fethers/wing come up onto the top of my shoulder, head pointed down.

Here is my "inspiration" image for my next tattoo.

It is a photochop of a couple different images, to give a basic idea. I will have my artist (prob. have Karl Williams do it) redraw it so its his original. Have the tail feathers come up onto the top of my shoulder with the head facing downward.

I am going for more of a Traditional/Neo-Traditional style for my next one.

    • Stumbling upon the blog successful lawyer essay https://essayservice.com/blog/reasons-to-become-a-lawyer was a game-changer for me. This insightful article outlines compelling reasons to pursue a career in law, perfect for anyone considering this challenging yet rewarding path. The blog discusses various motivations, from the intellectual challenge to the potential for making a significant impact on society. What stood out the most was the section on crafting a successful lawyer essay, which offers practical tips and examples to help you articulate your passion for law convincingly. As someone exploring career options, I found the real-life stories and detailed advice incredibly motivating. This resource is a must-read for anyone on the fence about law school or needing inspiration for their application essays.
    • A "half-sleeve" tattoo typically covers the upper or lower half of the arm, but sometimes the term gets loosely used. If the tattoo doesn't extend from the shoulder to the elbow (or elbow to wrist), it might be referred to as a "partial sleeve" instead. In contrast, a "full sleeve" tattoo covers the entire arm from the shoulder to the wrist (example). So, if the tattoo doesn't fully cover the defined half of the arm, it might not be considered a true "half-sleeve."
    • Thanks Dan , appreciate it.    I'm loving the new additions too, we are going to do a happy cloud on the other leg and deciding if I balance out the flaming skull with another skull or a lady head. He drew my double ended candle, but she just didn't work-so looking for a similar shape to match with.
