  1. Actually I remember this being spoken about by @Shannon Shirley. I'd love to get a butterfly or moth done in the future. Seems like you can have some fun with butterflies and get a bit crazy with colors too.
  2. Made it a point to see more concerts/shows/festivals, and I am actually following through Testament last Friday Slayer Tomorrow at MSG Megadeth on Friday Also got tickets to see Gorguts in December as well as tickets to Suffocation and Pyrexia. The grand win of it all was getting my 4 day pass to Maryland Deathfest (which sold out in 2 hours). So many shows, so much hearing loss! Scoping out tickets to Black Sabbath, as apparently this is their last tour ever.
  3. Thanks ross! Yea after it was done I was like holy shit...that's loud.
  4. So the knee torture is finally complete. My knee/thigh demon by Matt Van Cura done at Invisible NYC.

  6. I just found this band...I'm not 100% sure yet
  7. From the stories I've heard while in the chair, hell to the customer's I've witnessed, I can say yea, tattooing doesn't look like a cakewalk at all. Hell the one guy I watched get tattooed looked like a junkie, and was covered in weird burns. He wanted a small few words on his ribs, but kept moving around trying to take pictures of it, etc, etc. At one point the tattooer just puts down the machine and says "Do you want the fucking tattoo or not. Stop moving, or its gunna turn out like shit". After it was done the kid said well," I got $40 bucks", to which the tattooer said "I told you shop minimum was $100"...
  8. While there are some really cool pieces of flash I'd love to get tattooed, I'd really want to get it tattooed by the artist that did it. If it is impossible (retired, or no longer alive), I have a hellva good excuse to buy some more books. I love having new books, and sometimes my wallet needs justification.
  9. Oh, you have no idea how much this idea scares me when I remember that everyone (except felons) can vote...especially after working a customer service job in my younger years.
  10. You should do it! Let us know, maybe we can have a little LST meetup that day if you head in.
  11. This particular album is a bitch to find. I'd suggest getting it from their new record label (Temple of Darkness Records, same guys who have Absu). Also got some more good stuff I wanted to share that feel the same. Also No Fashion Records.
  12. Apparently I am kvlt! Knowing most of the bands but still some were a but tough.
  13. You should really listen to Vinterland - Welcome to My Last Chapter (if you haven't already). Right up there as top black metal albums ever produced, and very Dissection-like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtyNuVL7QDU
  14. I guess I'll see you there at some point. I'm still waiting to see who's playing when and hopefully get a Friday-Sunday ticket.
  15. Did you go last year or any previous years? Looks intense!
  16. From personal experience I can say when I was under 18, there was 1000 ways to get what I wanted. Raising the age for alcohol, tobacco, tattoos, etc does not much to stop anyone from enjoying them, regardless of age. I was smoking by 14, drinking the same year, (thankfully no tattoos until I was older). Looking back the only thing those regulations did was make it a pain in the ass, but not so much that it even slowed me down. If you look at getting tattooed, as with drinking underage, kids will still do it, but instead of in public, they making poor decisions surround by equally stupid peers, instead of adults. In NJ where I grew up, there was no age of consent, as long as your parents signed the slip. Even with those "looser" laws, not many kids got tattooed. Shops either talked them out of it, talked them into a much better idea or the parents said no. Also that 21 years old for tobacco in NYC is just a publicity stunt. I've witnessed booze and cigarettes being sold to very obviously under 18 year olds for years now. Bodegas and the such don't ever check. The once instance that cracked me up was a kid that was barely tall enough to reach across the counter tried to buy a flask of booze. The lady almost gave it to him then was like "uh, do you have ID". Yea a 10 year old has ID haha.
  17. @Dan does this do anything along the lines of easy the craptastic feeling of jeans sliding on fresh tattos? Now that I am getting all types of awkward areas done, it seems my pants can sometimes "rub out" areas of ink. (Think hip, knee cap, etc). If this stuff is as good as it sounds, I am going to get very excited!
  18. After my last terrible experience getting insane scabbing on my knee, I'm going to look into this.
  19. There are tons of fantastic tattooers in NYC and Long Island. I'm sure we can point you in the direction of some good ones. Here are some of the shops I have gotten tattoos at or like in general. Invisible NYC ? Tattoo Studio in New York City Saved Tattoo Kings Avenue Tattoo | New York Tattoo Shops | Long Island & Manhattan Thicker Than Water Tattoo NYC
  20. You should go! It's hard to pass up such a great line up. I'm also really interested in seeing Ulver's first US apperance.
  21. Hey just throwing this out there, but is anyone here going to Maryland Deathfest? https://www.marylanddeathfest.com/ They got some bands I am happy to see like, Ulver, Taake, etc. Should be a ton of fun! @jayessebee @CultExciter ??
  22. I wish there was such a thing were I go. I have cancelled a total of one time (actually for this weekend) only because I currently have the flu. From what I've heard people cancel all the time. I would love to be able to just hop down if given a few hours notice! Scheduling can suck sometimes if there is a gap.
  23. Sadly yes haha. At least once a month, generally every other week. Gotta finish two big tattoos!
