  1. @Lance, thanks for that response. I didn't realize that the naming was that common. I assumed that since you sort of pick your own name, it would be disrespectful to choose one that someone else already has chosen for themselves. I didn't know that the "Bunshin", or the first name in any of your examples, was really a significant qualifier.
  2. So Horitoshi 1 is none other than Horitoshi 1. Recently I found a guy on Instagram who is Bunshin Horitoshi. Who is that guy? And how does he walk around with balls that size while calling himself that name?
  3. Well it's time for you to extend past your butt. Maybe a wrecked cargo ship, so that we can make the joke about plundering your booty. Anyhow, with the contest I'm just planning on there being a ton of people and some guy showing up with a Shige piece to steal it from all of us. I'm just going to do it for fun.
  4. If @SeeSea says Sunday, then I'm down for that. I'm going to try and take the train in so I don't have to worry about any other transportation.
  5. Hah wow I guess I have to go now, huh? I'm just going fundoshi I guess. I've worn minimal clothing in front of hundreds of people before, so this is nothing new to me. I won't submit my wife to this, so I'll be going solo. Don't know how many pictures I'll be able to snag. I also don't know how many more pictures of my ass I need circulating the internet. From what I've heard, the judging is completely subjective. It would be nice if you could go and do it anonymously, as I'm sure an artists name alone could sway a judge one way or another.

I don't know why LSD Man was never a guy.
  7. Also, how many people usually compete in the different categories? 10s? Hundreds? It would be pretty awkward if it's just me and @SeeSea up there and she beats me singlehandedly. I'd prefer we both lose.

I always wanted to be able to freeze time.
  9. First you had my curiosity, now you have my attention.
  10. And here I thought you finally joined the colored group. That is some wicked irritation. It's really looking great. How much more is there to do, just a final touch up session?
  11. I have a crush on Dana Helmuth's snakes, but I have to admit that is incredible.
  12. Ha same thing happened to me on my last day. Congrats @SeeSea
  13. Great tattoos this month, I'm glad there weren't a lot of entries. I was hoping the holiday would work in my favor, haha. I've wanted a shirt for a long time now, thanks for voting for me!!
  14. I'm actually jealous of the potential of a Japenese coverup from a Norwegian artist. Marius why are you so far away and never travel?! Why?!?!?!
  15. Ok, right there. If you really want a tattoo, then go get one. It doesn't have to mean anything. It could be something that looks bad ass and you just want to get it tattooed on you. I thought my first tattoo had to mean something too. You'll find that the experience of a fresh tattoo with a good artist can trump any personal symbology. What tattoos have you been admiring? Do those "mean something" to the wearer? On the flip side, a candle burning at both ends, or a candle burning by itself, is pretty good imagery for losing time if you ask me. Google search reveals some good ideas, but no artists, so I'm hesitant to post a lot of pictures here. Here is one from Grez in NYC. You get the idea. Added snake and dagger for badassitutude.
  16. All of those traditional designs look the same to me, ha. That's like saying you have a clawing panther and you can't believe that someone else got one too. Although that rose morph issue... yeah. @Graeme yours looks way better anyhow. Mr Toby, you'll just have to find comfort in the the fact that you have an epic back piece. Be mad when that gets copied.
  17. Go check out the Latest Tattoo Lowdown, and you can see the kind of designs that we think are good. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/15-latest-tattoo-lowdown.html
  18. Unless the fame has gotten to their head, then you should act the same toward them as you would any other tattooer. Ask.
  19. It was explained to me that depending on how long it takes to get yours done, the lines will look more aged than the rest by the end. Maybe that seems obvious to some, but it wasn't something I considered. I'm not the artist. Really it's not so bad the second time around. You'll be fine, although beer did help.
  20. Ok this made me look it up. @DeathB4Decaf that is one burly Canadian, great design!
