  1. We're 7 hours in from here, but here's what it looked like for a few days.
  2. Nice mouth, Julio. The chicks hips on the left are unfortunate, they seem very wide, or maybe she's just underweight. Maybe too much running with wolves.
  3. Julio, 3rd pic in first set gave me chills, thanks for posting those.
  4. Happy Birthday. And I like the idea. Maybe we should plan for a weds mid-month to maybe help people arrange calendars?
  5. Love Plan Ahea, although I'm glad it's not on me. Kind of like my friend Clare's LOL tattoo, Jason McTickles talked her into getting it where she would not see it everyday.
  6. Wait, Scott, that says "kindness?" I always thought it said Mike Ness, which was weird, but I decided not to ask questions that I didn't want the answer to!

    Sons of Anarchy

Do you guys think that Peg is so twisted that she wouldn't stop them from boning to "protect the club" or whatever the fuck? And was that the Irish guy's (from the Charming charter) son who got killed, or just someone he knew since he was young? And what was with the hospital's HR lady having a backpiece? This season's Sons of Anarchy is good, I just hate having to wait until next week to find out what happens next. I often wait a season or two into a good show like this one to get into it so I can watch a whole season or two at once. When we first brought our first baby home from the hospital, I watched the whole first season of Lost over that first week or two, and it helped me transition into Mamahood for reals.
  8. Looks great! How old are your kids? It must be insane trying to juggle a shop opening with little ones, glad to see that you're pulling it off, and I hope there is a long nap in your future! If and when you figure it all out, please add something to this conversation regarding finding a balance: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/tattooforum/entries/9-Trying-to-find-a-balance
  9. Zachary's is awesome, but not so great for getting a table for a large party, the wait for a small table is generally at least 45 minutes. For vegans at Zachary's, the best option is to take it home half baked and dump a bag of shreaded soy cheese (trader joes) on top, they don't have any pretend cheese there. On the other hand, we could go to Lanesplitters, where they do some yummy stuff with their notta ricotta. Wednesday night would probably work best for us, you guys?
  10. Lizzie, if it's for you, women's medium would be better, think you already sent your address, yes?

  11. And of course it comes with a very official looking plaque.
  12. You got to pick your size, we're a high class operation. And they're not all men's beefy t's, for the ladies we ordered the nice, thin, longer length Bella t's. Need your address and size and it's on!
  13. Hey! What size? They're the Bella thinner chick's t's.

  14. They moved the Oakland one to last weekend due to Halloween conflict. But next year! Unfortunately, I work Tues night, (not really unfortunate, I love my job) but I'm down to go post-teaching. Think you guys could handle the man-night interference?
  15. Dean,

I had asked about the underwater scene because I imaging it could've been like putting a puzzle together for real. Was it a tricky one, or did it just flow? Just curious.

  16. I want to know what you're thinking Patrick.
  17. I am a fan of good tribal myself. I'm wondering if anyone has or has seen this book, "Black Tattoo Art: Modern Expressions of the Tribal?" It's not an impulse buy book at $160, but it's got great reviews and an "interesting interview with Leo Zulueta."
  18. I could have misheard, but I heard that one of Scott's customer's was in the middle of a tattoo from a guy who was headed back to Japan and wasn't going to be able to finish it this time around. And I know that Robert Atkinson was about to get the very first dot of his Jondix tattoo when the lights went out.
  19. Loch, I have also never missed the event in SF in many, many years. And yes, it has changed, but the spirit of the event is always there. (It's funny to look back over the years and think about the different people whom I've been with at each parade and how I've changed, though.) I've heard that there's also an excellent daytime event in Oakland the Sunday before every year (near the Fruitvale Bart), I won't make it this year, but I will take the kids next year.
  20. How about the panther painting by Zach Spurloch from the "How about an art show thread?" I'd love to see it done like that in real life. LST Tattoo Art Show

    hello

Hello and welcome! Please feel free to contribute whatever you'd like regarding tattooing, or just good times in general. Saw you were sick, hope you're feeling better.
  22. I know that my life is really different than yours, as I have two kids and I'm not a tattooer, but I do have one ritual that always helps get the day off on the right foot and that's setting the coffee pot at night before I go to bed. That way, no matter what happens, there is hot coffee waiting for me when I get up, instead of me waiting for the coffee. Seems to make a huge difference with the morning crankiness. I'm glad that you're getting to paint and making progress, there's nothing better than being on a creative roll. And I'd always like to hear more about how people fit it all in.
