  1. Haha yea I've already looked through it twice, one of the guys who tattooed me's arm is in there. The spider by timothy hoyer. So that was super cool to see. Like I expected though, it's beyond awesome
  2. No worries, paycheck to paycheck I don't mind, and most of my tattoos were spent with a full check, but totally worth it. I've had to travel the past 8 weeks and it's sucked the funds bone dry I'm more bummed about having to wait even longer for mike Wilson
  3. This whole paycheck-paycheck, about to graduate grind is killing me. It leaves me broke and with too many tattoo ambitions. Sore timing to get the "I love tattoos" book. And to top it off my planned graduation chest piece by mike wilson will be put on hold for a while since he broke his arm. Gotta scratch the itch soon
  4. Yea that's my only problem is that getting pieces here and there might cut off certain spaces if I'm choosin location. I know an artist would have a better perception of placement and what will work, but I just have my left side of tr lower leg and shin done ATM
  5. I'm wanting to have an artist here finish up my entire leg with some Traditional pieces that tie together. Just wondering if it would be better to get em all done or at least placed and the ideas set at once or just get some here and there over time. It's a question for the artist really but I've still got a couple of months before its even possible so I thought id get the opinions of you swell folks
  6. Alright due to discouragement and lack of flexibility, I'm starting from scratch. Just did some static wall squats and held til failure (which wasn't long) and holy shit my legs were on fire. It's obvious I don't have the strength or flexibility yet but hopefully this will help. On the topic of protein I've heard mixed opinions. I weigh 160, is getting around 100g-120g a day adequate? I try starting every day with a shake and 2 or 3 boiled eggs so i get a good portion early
  7. I'm sure it has a slight affect because essentially your body's reacting to skin injury, but in the same sense I wonder if it'd be similar to hormesis with radiation. A little radiation (whether from natural earth sources or a simple chest/extremity X-ray where the dose is minimal) is actually therapeutic because it causes cells to repair damages and become more active. So I wonder if it could actually be beneficial since its not a hugely traumatic thing for the skin. That's just speculation and I have no idea how tattooing actually affects the body.
  8. Haha I love that solution "just get more!" My lower legs bow out anyway. One side of my calf is all filled up, so I'm hoping once the other sides started it'll sort itself out
  9. Basically just means front to back and centered anatomically.
  10. Right on, nah it's a year old but I go through spells of overanalyzing. The more tattoos I'm getting around it kind of drew my attention, I plan on getting symmetrical designs on my knees, but maybe I can have something added to slightly offset the offsetness. Plus in X-ray were programmed to think in terms of anatomical centering. A true Anteropostetior image of the leg (kneecap centered) makes the shin off. Made me wonder how tattooers position tattoos for the leg
  11. This may just be my OCD kicking in, but should a shin tattoo go in a straight line from the knee? One of mine doesn't appear to because of its shape, but it appears centered on the leg if that makes sense. Just got to thinking if that would look strange if the knee and shin tattoos were offset.
  12. Cool, I'll give that a try. Being in that position doesn't cause me pain once I'm focused on knees out, hips forward, chest up. I just can't hold the bastard and I feel like an old lady without her walker.
  13. Not yet, amazon says april 2-4 is the estimated ship date so they better get their shit together. As soon as I get it, I'll let ya know. I'm sure it'll exceed my expectations
  14. I gave the caveman squat a try this morning and I think problem lies with being able to hold myself in this position even with my own body weight. I compensate by leaning forward because I fall back with proper depth. Maybe a posterior chain/core issue? Should I just do some wall squats til I develop the strength to hold it naturally?
  15. Ill just use him as the box, every time I touch my ass to his back and he meows I'll know it was a proper squat
  16. Thanks guys all solid advice. What kind of box would be appropriate, I figured the bench was a cop out but was just going with what I had. I work out with vans and I also have Nike 6.0. All I own is skate shoes.
  17. Awesome ! Thank you. That's been the most in depth critique and solid advice. I posted on a body building forum a year ago and it was shit advice. Should I do the caveman for a certain amount o days or weeks or just before squatting?
  18. @Scott R I have not, but I'll give it a shot. I love the exercise, but it just doesn't seem to work for me no matter what I've tried thus far. I feel the good stretch on my hammies, quads, and glutes, but I don't wanna run the risk of injury with a less than par form.
  19. Ok at the risk of completely embarrassing myself especially after @kylegrey posted those pictures, I was wondering if you guys could help me out and critique my form on squats: I put the bench behind me to kind of attempt box squats to help get everything else down, but now it looks like it's just making me lean forward and I'm barely getting parallel if even. I tried another set without and got parallel, but had a quite prominent buttwink. Fire away, and is there any advice on getting rid of the buttwink? I wish I could just get the damn depth, but it hurts my hip joints too bad even after a solid skate session and limbering up It's getting frustrating.
  20. Alright alright I'll keep you guys feeling good about numbers.... Yesterday 3/29 workout: Squats 3x5 @ 150 (working on depth by placing bench seat behind me like a box squat) Bench 3x5 @ 100 Deadlift 1x5 @ 155 I'm pissed my squats were at 225 which felt great when I finally hit it. Then I stopped working out. And started smoking and drinking way more and eating shit. At 160 now.
  21. That sounds sick. I got to watch it.
  22. I was just talking about the bend in her arm looking all wonky, but now that I go back and look that makes no sense either.
  23. Bahahaha , damn that's rough man. I've been thankful to not have broken shit yet. It's ironic I shoot X-rays now yet still do something that could potentially break my bones. What's some crazy wipe outs you guys have had? I went to kick flip like a 5 ft loading dock and landed smack on the tail and that sucker flew so fast into my eye socket. Everyone thought ingot in a huge fight at school. I went with it
