  2. hitchhiked from the Netherlands to Italy to get tattooed and then from Italy to Gothenburg in Sweden to score a little piece there. Good times!
  3. I had an awesome time! Thanks for letting me crash at your place, showing me the city and for all the alcohol fueled fun. I will come back for sure!
  4. me and @Johannes are gonna get tattooed when i make my way hitchhiking to his hometown in Sweden. It's gonna be sweet!
  5. I'm currently almost 1000km away from home, with the girl i love, drinking lots of whiskey. Life's been pretty fucking sweet the last month! Ihope many more months like this will afollow! You are all awesome people and everyone of you in Europe shouldg ive me a shout so i cna visit!
  6. ... when your hitchhiking through Europe and you look forward to meeting someone you've only shared a few messages with on LST but based on your shared passion for tattoo's you know it will be awesome! @Johannes next weekend I start the drive up north so hopefully in 1-1.5 week i'll by in gothenburg!
  7. hmm rucksack is how we call small backpacks, atleast in the Netherlands. The big traveling backpacks are backpacks as far as I know haha. And yeah 18kg is roughly 40 pounds. You get used to carrying that around after a week or so. It's slightly under 25% of my bodyweight, which is the recommended maximum. But now this thread is getting sidetracked. Itchy fresh tattoo's are a bitch and now others can complain again about healing their tattoo's ;)
  8. Yeah healing my inner arm is a pain, specially since I'm carrying a 18kg backpack all the time and living on the road atm. When I got it the tattoo it was 27 degrees celcius in Italy, which was a bit too much and I couldn't stay out of the sun so now im in Germany for a little while till it's healed, luckily I can stay here at someones apartment. I can't imagine itching on both thighs and upper arm at the same time, that must be horrible! Good luck with that haha
  9. I'm currently healing an inner bicep tattoo. Getting it was painful but the thing i hate the most is the extreme itch once it starts peeling. God its horrible
  10. Got tattooed today in Italy, i now have a bad ass skull on my inner bicep and an awesome memory of my traveling life. I posted a pic in the latest tattoo lowdown thread
  11. Managed to get a walk in spot at Inkamatic in Trieste, Italy today. Giacomo sei Dita was doing a guestspot there and he asked if I would like a skull. Hell yeah would I Like a skull! This is the result: Its an hard to take a picture of a tattoo on my inner bicep but you get the idea. I'm stoked on it:D Edit: Wowa that picture came out way bigger than I intended, sorry for that
  12. Good one, I was actually considering adding on my lower left leg but since I'm walking/standing an aweful lot that might not be a bright idea ;) this will be my 2nd tattoo so I'm basicly blank canvas. Maybe inner bicep or something. Will look out of place at first but once i add around it ill be fine. I'll keep you posted!
  13. Guess I'll just go for it (if they have a spot for walk in) and then ive got something cool to show you when I visit ;) Which I will do for sure btw!
  14. I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now. Since I'm hitchhiking trough Europe as we speak Im constantly on the road, which isn't the best place to heal a tattoo (but it is possible with good care) and budget is small for the trip. It just so happens that after the weekend I'll probably be in Trieste, Italy. I googled tattoo trieste and found Inkamatic Tattoos « Inkamatic where this guy works. The site says they do walk-ins. The work is awesome and it would be a great experience getting a small tattoo during my trip. Anyone here have experience with healing tattoos on the road that can help me out with my dilemma? I'm carrying around a 17kg backpack at all times so that's something to consider as well. What to do, what to do?
  15. I might take you up on this offer sooner then i thought.. Im currently in Slovenia kicking it with some squatters but I plan on heading up north in May, I guess the weather will be slightly better by then ;) we should go for a beer for sure!
  16. Finally got my lazy ass into gear and created a facebook page for pictures of my travels to accompany my blog. You can find it here: http://www.facebook.com/DrifterInEurope o and stephen, that panter is insane!
  17. Thanks Johannes! I might take you up on that once since I'm planning to visit Sweden again in the summertime. If i'm still on the road that is. Thanks for checking out my blog
  18. Just your luck, because I managed to find an hour free wifi at a gasstation somewhere near Austria and I'll be writing another fancy story now
  19. Got a one way train ticket to Cologne, Germany for this friday morning. From there I will start my backpacking/hitchhiking adventure through Europe. I'm currently looking for a couchsurf location for the first day. These past 2-2,5ish months of preparation went by so insanely fast, can't believe that in 2 days I will be living out of a backpack. It's absolutely terrifying, but I couldn't be more excited for something. Next time I'll post something on LST, it will be from the road. Life of a drifter in Europe for updates on my travels @ThaliaCamille how is the carpe diem life going for you so far? Have you been able to find other work yet?
  20. I recently started to carry the Wenger Ranger 155 armyknife. That thing is awesome. Good grip, not that heavy, sharp as a razor straight out of the box and lots of functional tools in it. It is bigger than your average swiss armyknife which i like since my hands are on the bigger side. Best purchase in a while
  21. not sure if i should post this in the drunk people threat or this threat. Turned 20, went to the pub with all mhy friends. Good times. Pauwel Kwak is my new favourit beer. My friends are awesome and if this is how the rest of my no more teenager years are, it's gonna be a blast
  22. finally i remember there's a thereat to post in when you're shitface and idont know what to post. as you might have guessed by now i am unable to type normla sentences. I've been hanging out at my student society and drinking Pauwel Kwak all evening. That beer will get you wasted in no time. Put on Women and Work by Lucero. Appart from tennesee, also by Lucero, it's the best drinking music ever
  23. Figured I might as well show my mug This sexy beast is me Edit: holy shit that picture turned out a bit bigger then planned, sorry!
