  1. Thanks for your opinions guys. It is the same thread it's just I couldn't post anything outside of the initiation thread since I'm a new member when I made that first thread. I understand where your coming from when you say it doesn't have to be perfect, but I know what this tattoo could be. I can see it in my head, but I don't know if it can be done. Just some more dimension and realism would make me happy, but the thing once again is that I don't know if it could be done. It's the first week so im going to see how I feel in another week or two, but as for right now Ivreally want to add some depth to the tattoo
  2. Yeah I did get it a few days ago, but it's pretty much only lines and no shading I don't know how much different it is actually going to look. The redness is gone it's currently peeling but the only difference may be a bit of colour but other then that since there is no shading I don't see it looking any different. But I'm not rushing I won't get it reworked for another month or so but I just wanted to get people's opinions on it and what I should do so when I do get the tattoo reworked I'll have an idea.
  3. Hey Guys, I had some questions about a tattoo I got 4 days ago. I was going for a roman numeral clock tower face that would fade into my skin (Kind of like the first image I attached - the black and white one - I love how it blends into the skin and has some dimension to it as well). The tattoo I got was not what I was expecting as it seemed flat and incomplete rather then a blended tattoo that faded and had some dimension to it. We'll now I was wondering if there was any way to breathe life into this tattoo? I was thinking about making it look more realistic with some shading and have someone try and blend it where the open part is to my skin. But honestly the lines seem pretty dark so I am not sure if this is even possible anymore as I know you need some soft lines to make it look realistic. What do you guys think? If this was your tattoo how would you make it look more realistic? Do you know of any realism tattoo artist that can help me out? A little about me: I'm from Vancouver, BC and this is my second tattoo. Both are black and grey as I love realism and the simple smaller tattoos. I may get one more tattoo after I get this one hopefully spruced up. Thanks guys! Let me know if you want to see more pictures.
  4. Thanks for your opinions! I don't really know what to do. I don't like it enough to leave it as it is. My question to you guys now is, can I fix it? Make it look more complete, I agree that it feels incomplete and very flat. Do you think an artist would be able to breathe some life into it by making it look realistic? Or is it too far gone now to make it look more realistic. The lines are pretty dark, but there is a lot of blank space between the lines for shading. What do you guys think? Anyone you could recommend in the Vancouver area or close to it? Any comments would be appreciated
  5. Hey guys, I've been on here for quite some time and I just got my second tattoo yesterday. I really wanted a faded clock tattoo (the black and white image I attached was pretty close to what I wanted). I loved the simplicity and the fading of it how it blended into the skin during the light part. We'll the tattoo I got wasn't what I expected and now I'm wondering what to do, to kind of fix it. I don't absolutely hate it, I want to know your guys opinion on the tattoo as it is. If you could also let me know what I should add on there to make it look better. Is it too late to fix it at all? I'm thinking about making it realistic but since the lines are so dark I am not sure if it is possible anymore as I'm thinking it would need to be soft smooth shading etc to make it look realistic. What do you guys think? Would you change anything about it. A little about me. I like small classy black and grey pieces. I have one portrait on the inside of my arm and honestly I think this one is going to be my last or second to last tattoo. Anything would be helpful :) Thanks! - - - Updated - - - Let me know if you would like to see more pictures
  6. It would be up to you. But if you have an artist in mind, go to him or her and let them know about your concept. If they think its a good idea and is doable, I would say do it!
  7. Welcome to the forum! There's plently of info so you'll definitely find alot of help in here.
  8. That is very interesting, but I would not go with anything that isn't approved by FDA standards. If something goes wrong, you would be held accountable.
  9. I would say to get some laser removal done so that there is more freedom for the tattoo artist. It would be hard to cover up some thick black lines without lightening it a bit first. But definitely talk to an artist before doing anything!
  10. Hey Guys, Joining this great forum to get ideas and opinions on tattoos I want to get in the future :)
