im lucky, we don't have any hipsters around here. but we do have an excessive amount of douchebags, plaid shorts, white rimmed sun glasses, backwards fitted baseball cap for some team they dont even like but it matches their shorts and shirt, pencil thin beard, their car has 22 inch rims on it....they listen to nothing but rap and for some reason spout all sorts of racial slurs and not in a "im trying to be cool and fit in" way either.

also just for the record, i'm not a hipster but i've been wearing vans since i started skating in the 80's and i've been dishing out irony for just as long. so goddamn these hipsters for cramping my style.

i noticed that after 12 years of living in ohio and seeing tattoos on a regular basis, when i went back to atlanta to visit earlier this year i noticed very few people with visible tattoos. i know there are plenty of people in the metro area and wouldve expected to see more. i did notice i got a lot more weird looks and people starring down there. it was kinda comforting actually. i think in general there is a larger working class population in this part of ohio, so tattoos have been alot more socially acceptable.

i also just noticed that i said notice or some variation of it several times...

skulls, daggers, spider webs, straight razors and any combination there of....actually just about any type of weapon is cool

also, insects which i dont see much of but i really like when someone does a cool insect in a any style. my plan for all the little spots left on my left arm is to fill it up with different bugs.

stained skin has some great guys, id go see drew at high street in columbus. he does some really nice portraits and is a great guy too.

and that's not saying anything bad about stained skin, but really i think drew does some of the best portraits ive seen around this part of ohio.

there was guy that got tattooed by the guy i work with and then he let some guy do a bunch of free tattoos on him and there were several louis vuitton tattoos. i kept thinking, yeah...im a high roller and need this louis vuitton stuff tattooed on me to show that but i don't wanna pay for it.

hipster can't ever ruin something, you can tell a poser when you see them. i will continue to like what i like, never gave a shit if it was popular before and i'm not going to start caring now. but i don't go out and hang out with people so if i do drink a pbr it will be at home...cheaper and away from the hipster crowd!

it's a font, that tattoo is actually in that font. I'm lost as to why anyone would want that tattoo however.

im a total geek, and ive watched a full length documentary on just that font. Helvetica

so it's possible that the person is a graphic designer or some type of layout/print artist.

it's a nutritional yeast based cheeze(that's how a lot of vegan places differentiate it from dairy based cheeses, since us vegans are apparently too easily confused) sauce. i think it has some mustard, garlic powder, soy milk, and possibly cashews too. it's a fairly basic vegan mac n' cheeze recipe.

i was wondering if it was soy milk based, even more interesting that its yeast based. it sounds tasty.
