I've still not managed to experience Pagoda, even though I've been hearing about it for the past few years. That might change this year. Hitting Visionary Arts in Asbury Park today and Wildwood Tattoo Beach Bash in two weeks.

Ay-yi-yi. This one on my love handle area is super-uncomfortable. I guess the fact that the body twists plenty is a contributor. Had a little yellow leakage two days after, but there was no foul odor that made me think it might be infected.

Doesn't help that where I usually carry my purse hits that area exactly.

Just uncomfortable.

I wound up going braless for the first go around myself for a backpiece. For a few days at least. I'm not exactly dainty, but I'm also not exactly very civilized sometimes.

The softness of simple sport bras were the next step.

Tomorrow color gets added. This was done by a local apprentice from my own drawing. It is a variation on the tarot card Three of Swords.

I get the impression some medical professionals are really looking at this as a potential cash stream. My GP on a recent visit said they'd been looking into it. He also asked if I knew the most popular reason for tattoo removal is to get another tattoo

Wizard World convention in Philadelphia this past June. Her reaction was fantastic. The photo op people and her handler all moved in to take pictures. It was put on her social media promptly.

It was a much better reaction than I had gotten two weeks before when I showed Mel Brooks my tattoo of him. He was just polite about it, called it "beyooteeful", hurried me along.

 Nichelle Nichols and I held hands while I told her why I'd chosen her for my first portrait tattoo and declared that she wished she was that beautiful. She also treated me to an autographed publicity pic back at her table. I'd only paid for a photo op, hoping that that might parlay into getting an autograph once I showed her my proud piece. She was lovely, gracious.

Got my first ink on my 25th birthday in 1989. But most of what I now wear happened after my 50th birthday a few years ago. I call my current count 21 tattoos. I tat around. I like that artists refer to someone like myself who wears various artists work as a Tattoo Collector. 

I love conventions. I'm not ashamed of the fact that Ink Master is one of my favorite tv indulgences.
