  1. Here are a few updated pics. It isn’t red, swollen, and does not hurt. These spots (cracks) ended up cracking and breaking first, because my arm wrinkles up badly around this area, so I’m guessing it may have cracked too early, combined with the color there, and caused that yellowish tent? Does that sound like a halfway accurate estimation?
  2. Healing this large tattoo on the top of my forearm and near/almost on my elbow is a stress-fest for me. A good amount of peeling and cracking, more dryness than usual, and it’s sooo exposed allll of the time. Doing my best to count to 10 and take deep breaths... 😖
  3. It looks really great! Cool placement too. Enjoy it and don’t stress! I find myself stressing over small details, healing, etc., but at the end of the day, people will not notice 99% of what you do! 😃
  4. Also, while I’m here, I’m guessing this peeling looks normal too? I’m such a hypochondriac. 🤦🏼‍♂️
  5. [I believe I originally posted this thread in the wrong forum.] So my new tattoo is healing. It’s all peeling evenly and 99% of it looks healthy but there is one spot where it is slightly yellow and looks a tad bit oozy. I’m not sure if this is just the shiny skin under the tattoo or what, but it is sort of freaking me out. The first picture is when I initially got the tattoo. The rest are current.
  6. Updated picture after cleaning it first thing this morning.

  8. Is it a must for the first few days of healing? I’ve heard conflicting statements and opinions.
  9. Thank you. I appreciate your response. I didn’t necessarily think it was blowout as much as “bleeding” or “spreading” due to my light peeling, since the other side wasn’t really doing that. But I guess area can affect that?
  10. I had a tattoo done two weeks after getting sunburned on my arms. I was almost done peeling, and truly didn’t think anything of it, but I feel like it has affected my tattoo (on the side with the crab claw and bottle and all, pics below). I have a little “smudging” or “blowout” or whatever it is on the crab claw side, but I can definitely tell a difference. Not sure if this will fix itself or go away, but it is a little distressing, to say the least. The first pic is the stage it’s in currently, the second is when it was first done, and the last pic is the current stage on the other side with the “cleaner” lines.
  11. When is it safe to start working out with a new tattoo? I have a tattoo on my inner forearm, pretty big, which is now 5 days old. It’s reaching the scanning stage and the very early stages of peeling. Am I okay to resume working out now or should I wait longer?
  12. When I do use lotion, I use a very, very small amount evenly. I’m very sparing. I use just enough to hydrate it so it won’t feel so, so, so tight. I have dry skin anyway.
  13. So just deal with it tightening up? I didn’t know if it would heal worse with no sort of lubricant or lotion on it. Is putting lotion on it harmful?
  14. And let my clarify. I had got done peeling just before I got the tattoo. I would never let my new tattoo get sunburned.
  15. I guess another reason I was asking about blowout was because the lines on the other side look a little cleaner, or maybe it’s just my imagination. Could be placement or positioning or whatever, too. Admittedly, I had just got done peeling from a sunburn on the side of my arm in the first pictures. I mean, it had been 2-3 weeks since I was burned, and it was very lightly, with minimal peeling, so I doubt that affected it too much but I guess there is always a chance. This pic is the other side of the tattoo.
