i always pay by cerdit card for everything. i rarely have cash on me! so when i noticed that the shop i go to takes cards i thought it was great and just pulled out my credit card. totally not thinking about all the fees, now i feel kinda bad!

............... the majority vote from the tattooers is they would rather not discuss their finances/tips in a public arena. So my tip from one tattoo customer to another is tip how and what you feel appropriate. I may even go as far as suggesting asking the tattooer face to face this question as I have a feeling they would humbly answer your question if you goto one of the honest respectful tattooers we have in the bay area.

hope this helps shine light on a tattoo subject/question the tattooers wish to keep out of the light.....

I just wanted to repost this in hopes that the talk of tips and such dies down. there is plenty in this thread already!

Just back from watching Drive. the giant girl inside me loved Ryan gosling's character, the tomboy side however rejoiced at the gore. what a fucking awesome combo. loved the soundtrack :D

Recently saw "50/50" and thought it was really good. It was funny, not hilarious, but funny and surprisingly moving.

Also saw "A Serbian Film".....if you value your humanity.....take a pass.....

i've had it in mind to write in this thread! so, i saw both those movies and thought they were awesome! i was so thrilled that i really liked them! i saw a string of really horrible movies and then i stopped going to the theater for a while. Drive was amazing, it totally appealed to the danger and drama sides of my brain. the gore was awesome and i couldnt believe the amount of blood! though there was some asshole in the theater laughing through some of the really quiet dramatic parts.

then i watched 50/50 and thought it was really awesome! kinda crude in some parts. its not that bad when your with a friend but its a diff story when your with your dad! i loved how well writen the story was and i felt every emotion with every charater. i am pretty sure i caught my dad crying and that was really......interesting...... since my dad doesnt cry! lol, anyway, i've loved Joseph gordon-levitt ever since i saw him in "3rd rock from the sun" (umm not counting 500 days of summer!!) i really recommend everyone to go watch it!

this is really cool! i really enjoyed watching that and it must have been really time consuming for more artists, but the finished video is so awesome!

I then realised that this client must have the same concerns and considerations for his artist as @hogg does ;)

(yes I am aware that on shiges' site you can see that the same client was getting photos of his backpiece at the same time... but for the purposes of hilarity we won't acknowledge that)

I pre-ordered my copy as soon as i was able to. if shipping the book to canada goes the same as it did when i ordered my last one its going to be another week or so before i get one. super excited and i cant wait to t read it because it looks awesome!
