  1. I agree with Asian tattoo thing! don't get me wrong I'm asian myself but I just found it funny! Hey at least they didn't call it oriental tattoos... hahahaha!!
  2. I didn't start to itch until after it stopped peeling.. I think that this product is slower in terms of healing but it heals better in the long run! - - - Updated - - - Tegaderm by 3M was the brand that was used on me. I think it's the same thing..
  3. I also found using this product. Healing is a lot slower. You will not start peeling for a week or so. My other tattoos peeled after 2 to 3 days. The good thing like i said no scabs! If you are allergic to latex I wouldn't use it! - - - Updated - - - I thought the same when I took it off but it will start peeling in like 4 days or so. Good thing is I didn't get any scabs. It's been like 13 days so far and I think about another week or so it's should be completely healed. I also developed a slight irritation to it. I'm glad my artist used it though. Don't get me wrong! . .
  4. i think the initial saran wrap is just to get you home and from there you can decide what works best for you. If you think about it the pores from a fresh tattoo is saturated with ink, blood, plasma, and ointment . So suffocating it with plastic wrap isn't going to hurt it.. Then again I'm no professional.. ahahaha!
  5. yes my last tattoo was covered with it. Absolutely no scabs (first time for me). The only down fall was maybe a bit allergic to whatever is in it. Then again I have super sensitive skin..
  6. in terms of healing I heard rotary heals faster. In my experience from getting tattooed is not really. Both are about the same healing time.
  7. I agree! Watched one episode but seemed like the tattooers on that show aren't good.
  8. 5.5 hours start to finish at Gold Rush, Costa Mesa.
  9. Don't take it personal!! I've lost with some really awesome tattoos. I personally like a certain style that's just how it is.. It's just a t shirt. hahaha
  10. Don't really care if I win but if i don't i give up!!! Haha!! You're from L.A? I would be fully tattooed from Tim if I lived there!!! Thanks !! Do you have any from him?
  11. thanks!! Very painful but it was one of the best experiences getting tattooed to date!!
  12. 1 Shot Rib Tattoo (5.5 Hours) by Tim Hendricks at Gold Rush Tattoo .
  13. Okay.. Tip for a touch up session. I usually do as well but sometimes i'll just give a bit more tip on a future session with the artist instead.

he did an amazing job! so good!!
  15. i say why not? Its free and healing doesn't always work out 100 percent perfect.. I used to get freaked out with imperfections but now it's not a huge deal but still..
  16. thanks!! I've been looking forward to this for a while... Yeah right up his alley! Post some pics of garvers tattoo as well. I'm sure he will do an amazing job! I may have chris do a traditional style piece next time around.
  17. Wow sounds like an amazing few months!! I know the feeling waiting for an appointment with Chris Garver and finally coming true. Next week I'm flying out to Cali to get a tattoo from Tim Hendricks. I've been emailing him for about a year now and finally secured an appointment! I decided on a good vs evil. Girl head ,skull, and some red roses. Can't wait!!
  18. i've used all different product for my tattoos.. I found that for me that for the first few days I put nothing on my tattoo just clean it really well. After 2 days or so then i put plain lotion on it. Don't waste your money on "tattoo" lotions. The plain luberderm type is perfect. If your artist told you something I would just do what he says and then leave it be for a couple of days. It's not a big deal anyhow that is what touch ups are for.
  19. Yeah maybe.. i have an appointment with Garver in september. Probably gonna do a cobra on the other side of ribs. Also I have Tim Hendricks next month. after that it will probably be a while until i get a new tattoo.. probably :P
  20. In my case at little rearranging not complete blank canvas! Regino is crazy good at huge japanese tattoos! Maybe if i ever do a back piece i'll have him do it!
  21. I would say Chris Garver! The reason is I like japanese style tattoos but also other styles as well. There are very few artist that can do many styles at the level he does. Well rounded is an understatement!! Being that he was on t.v and all many people may say some negative things but you cannot dispute how awesome of an artist he is not just as a tattooer. He's very personable and friendly! Also I found him to be super humble about his success.
  22. Cool what are you getting? Not crazy in book. I'm getting work next month by Tim and then the month after that by Chris Garver.. Regino is amazing!
