  1. I gotta google this now, I've never heard of Tom of Finland. - - - Updated - - - K, I pinterested it and I think my husband would totally not be down w/looking at a guy w/a big package on my arm or leg, I'm betting he'd like the girl better.
  2. haha try being the one it's aimed at tho holy hell. I'd have to stop and gently lower myself to the ground b/c it hurt so horribly to laugh. You'd think he'd tire of being called a m'f'er but it only seemed to fuel his amusement.
  3. hahahaha ohhh I never thought about trying to hobble around after doing the knees-I think we should video tape ourselves after having parts of the legs done and then laugh at each other. I made all kinds of silly noises after my feet, a lot of oooo and ho ho ho when I'd try to step. After our son was born I had surgery to fix my umbilical hernia so wasn't walking very well. Every time I'd try to walk around my husband would whistle this and say "the man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed". We could get some good after tattoo videos w/sound effects based upon personal research haha.
  4. bwahahahaha love it. And here I was just looking up pics of knee and shin tattoos.
  5. thank you. haha yeah I'm not much for being normal.
  6. do girls get tattoos of pin up girls? or is that weird? I asked my husband and he wasn't really into the idea.
  7. Yeaaaaahh I have a tendency to jump the gun..ah well, least now I know and don't have to freak out about it. Hopefully can get up there again before he moves to show him the final product.
  8. Considering what would be "impulsive" for us...when we were at the shop today to show the artist how we're healing, he told us that in a couple weeks he's having a customer appreciation day b/c he's moving. He's doing up a bunch of skulls and then you pick one and he'll do it for $50. I don't know that I'm so much a skull kinda girl, but maybe if it was a sugar skull or something purty I'd go for it...so we're pondering it to get another something before he leaves. That might be dumb, getting something you're unsure about just to get something.
  9. Showed him and he said he thinks it just is still shiny and to give it a little more time until the scab is off completely and see how it looks.
  10. I don't know if I can bring myself to watch it, tho I enjoy the books immensely. I don't care for Cruise, but would be able to get past that if he actually fit the profile of Reacher from the books. That part will bug the hell out of me.
  11. Oh I didn't realize it was common. I wonder if it's from the pressure of standing and walking-all your weight goes down to your tootsies. I guess I won't freak out about it then! How long do you have to wait before having it touched up? He's moving the 1st of July or right before, and I'd like to have it done before he goes but if it's going to still be tender I'd rather wait lest I look like a big *girl* and holler during.
  12. I tried to search for this but wasn't sure what it is called, so sorry if there's a thread staring me in the face that I didn't see! Was looking at my feet today and noticed that the ink on the leaf on my left foot came out. It scabbed pretty heavily in that area and it's still a bit tender, seems just a tish swollen in that particular part. We've got to go to the city tomorrow to get plants, and had planned on stopping by the shop anyway, so will show him then. ARGH--I was so happy to not have that part of me totally done b/c it fricken sucked and now I'll have to do a bit of it over again. daaaangit. I've never had this happen before. Has it happened to anyone else??
  13. We live out in the boonies and right now it's only $25/month for our gym...tho it just got sold, so we'll see if we continue going there or have to suck it up and go to the shishi foofoo "gym" in town. - - - Updated - - - The only awesome thing we've been doing (other than brainstorming new tattoos) is working on our landscaping. We're very proud of our DIY awesomeness.
  14. that sounds pretty-be sure to post pics. I love butterflies.
  15. I don't watch when I get blood drawn. I do watch when I get tattooed when it's in places I can see b/c it's it's neat to watch and it's like coloring w/ the most painful Crayola ever..I like to color. I don't like getting shots either. I would rather get a tattoo than have my blood drawn or get a shot. When I had our daughter and had to have a walking epidural I was petrified just from the thought of the needle going in my back, having watched too many baby shows on TLC.
  16. Woo hoo for girls in the gym! I like looking at my tattoos when I'm working arms...they look so sexaaaay.
  17. I don't get it either. It's too much like "I can do it and it's ok, but you can't do it b/c I say so" and that irritates me. Of course, I was just showing my husband pictures on flowers I like (traditional/English roses) and there was much wrinkling of the nose and "I'll be married to an old sailor, AYE matey, ahoy" butthead. It makes me give the pictures an eyebrow raise, wondering if there's something wrong w/my taste but dangit, they're pretty so he can stick it.
  18. I went to the shop's website and it showed that those dots turn into scabs and fall off and then it's your normal skin underneath. Some sort of injection into the skin that the ink gets absorbed into or something. Still, cheese grater is right!
