  4. I take online reviews with caution. I saw this the other day on this topic. A.G. Schneiderman Announces Agreement With 19 Companies To Stop Writing Fake Online Reviews And Pay More Than $350,000 In Fines | Eric T. Schneiderman not that I think tattoo shops do it necessarily ,but hell ! it's the internet :rolleyes:
  5. artist: Jess Yen JESS shop: MY TATTOO a friend notified me two weeks before and told me that Jess Yen had a last minute opening,so I ended up getting an 8 hour one shot piece from Jess on 08/16/13 ! here is the original art he drew for me & my body size & weight ,he signed it and dated it for me. and here is the stencil which he also gave me, here it is the day after,he used saniderm on it, here are the healed pics . .
  6. did anyone see Son's of Anarchy this week ? Dave Navarro was a guest star on it,not sure if he will be an ongoing cast member. He plays a cousin of of Nero (Jimmy Smits).
  7. :) I don't want to turn this into anything negative.
  8. like I said,they were just examples,maybe a better one is the true story of a friend of mine that owns & runs a successful tattoo shop,but he does not do tattoos himself. :) and I agree cars today don't have the same character they used to have.
  9. LOL that's kind of a silly thing to say IMO,that's like saying the CEO of GM does'nt drive but he's wrong for making money off of people who do,or Bill gates uses a MAC but he makes money off of people who use Windows and he's an asshole for that ? (insert/just examples)
  10. ya,it looked like a sunburn where the saniderm was,hurt like hell taking it off too ! and yes,I kept it on for 3 days,it's been 2 weeks now and the red from the saniderm is finally gone,it did last a while though,but it sure was easier than any other aftercare I have used,I like it,no sticky aquafor,etc,etc especially on my side.
  11. so I ended up going to the show(I really had planned on going already :D ) ,I did'nt see any brawls ! LOL :rolleyes: actually it was a pretty cool friendly event,I met up with a friend that was getting work from Jess on Saturday too. the best thing was a friend notified me two weeks before and told me that Jess Yen had a last minute opening,so I ended up getting an 8 hour one shot piece from Jess on Friday ! it's still healing so I will post pics when it's done . it's a B&G tiger standing on a skull from my armpit to my ass. here is the original art he drew for me & my body size & weight ,he signed it and dated it for me. and here is the stencil which he also gave me, here it is the day after,he used saniderm on it,I will post better pics in the correct forum when it's healed,I'm pretty happy with it.
  12. LOL ya ! it did hurt like hell to take it off !
  13. so,I got it friday and I noticed today I am starting to peel.no itching either.
  14. I got a large piece on Friday night and the artist used this Saniderm on me,I kept it on for 3 days,and the tattoo is practically healed ! never seen anything like it,no staining bedding,no sticky aquafor ,etc,etc,able to shower,no oozing or bleeding or cabbing,amazing shit IMO,I highly recommend it. Tattoo Aftercare - Saniderm . . . btw,I did a search here and nothing came up.
  15. my "long" session kit is I bring skittles ,M&M's,a fresh banana,beef jerky,& several bottles of water.I like to keep my sugars & electrolytes way up during the work. I eat a good meal before and take a 800mg ibuprofen or two. I don't drink alcohol for a couple days prior to the work,lots of water,and I never drink alcohol right before or during.

    Hi =)

    I am probably in a minority,but personally I like those a lot,very nice,
  17. cool article, when I saw the "matches" thing,I thought of it's use as in sterilizing the needles ? in those days.
  18. those first 3 pics are pretty cool old shots.
  19. the artists I have talked to about the difference between rotary & coil,is that most say they can tell how the ink is going in better with the noise of a coil, :) that makes sense to me. I've been tattooed by both,and I don't feel any difference,if anything like was said,the coils sound more aggressive,so it's probably a mental thing. also,when I walk into a shop and they are using rotary machines,it just seems like something is wrong,or missing LOL , I know it's the way things are going,I'm just sayin. and as far as the pain ? yes,it's a mind thing for me,I sat for an 8 hour "one shot" yesterday,and I can close my eyes and put myself somewhere pleasant,it's about extreme concentration on something else that helps me.but I agree,it still hurts either way,no matter where you get it,just different degrees of pain,it's up to us how we deal with it,I believe in the mind over matter thing,it can work.It got me through last night anyway. IMO the worst pain is the shading & highlights that hurt the most,the going over already tattooed areas that hurts the most.
  20. HOLY FUCKING SHIT ! THANK YOU GUYS ! I will definitely NOT go to that show or probably ANY tattoo show EVER ! OMFG ! WOW that was a close one !
