  1. black and gray realism - come to jersey http://instagram.com/chrisadamek
  2. i think my mentality on ear tattoos is you should 'earn' your way onto your face - like - you should be pretty covered if youre at your face / head anyway - that just an opinion - if a person wants to start on the head / hands / whatever then go for it - dont listen to me
  3. sorry i'm jersey - we cant see the sky here
  4. @Patrick Bateman i think i seen most of those there are some documentaries / interview stuff i really like -the LST interviews - doesnt get better -true love tattoo series - fun / cool -vice tattoo age series - also awesome -gypsy gentleman - also top notch -frith street documentary series - on the shoulders of giants - 1,2,3 out 4 coming - amazing -sailor jerry doc - hori smoku -ed hardy doc - tatoo the world
  5. different spots heal different mine have run the spectrum of easy to challenging generally legs are tougher for me spots of my upper torso were super quick heals just the way it goes
  6. both my forearms were easy tattoos but tough slower heals in the end they are fine but was lots of scabbing on the one what makes it worse is that you kinda end up looking at it way more than you should because my forearms were always exposed during the healing
  7. nothing to do it'll heal you'll move on get another tattoo mostly like factor imo is location of the tattoo certain spots are tough - some a breeze
  8. the artists on the show right now are pretty good - was excited last week when they finally had an american traditional challenge unfortunately i think most people on shows like these are portrated unfavorably - who knows what we would look like on a reality show right sarah does some amazing color portraits if you follow her on IG anyway - i watch basically because i'm sucker for tattoo type programs - but i would rather watch LST interviews all day long over anything spike has ever put out there
  9. i mean first off let it heal put it out of your mind for a month see what you have then sometimes its a tough part of the body to heal how well you were tattooed of course is another factor you can have a great artist do a great job tattooing you and still have a rough heal - it happens do you need to fix a dropped line? up to you - sometimes i think the tattoo is the tattoo imperfections be damned love it dig it if you dont love the final outcome that is your healed tattoo well - theres always another tattooer you could check out research though buddy - research will most often have a great impact on having a positive tattoo outcome
  10. not against the gift thing per se here in the northeast cash tips are the norm for just about anything really lol anyway - i dont do gifts personally just a nice healthy cash tip
  11. where ya located - that could be a help if you are looking for some more direction on specific artists that would do ya right
  12. i'm not really down for coverups in any way but the shape of a crawling black panther might just fit that spot nicely
  13. jersey here the northeast offers a wealth of great tattooers to choose from welcome check out the interviews - major fun
  14. i would leave it and go get your dreamcatcher but yeah you need to do more research in the age of Instagram there is no excuse imo
  15. when I recently got tattooed by chad the guy ahead of me was getting his first by chad talk about doing it right
  16. no real pet peeves i think - i really dont care what other people do with regards to their tattoos maybe people expecting their tattoos to be perfect and obsessing about minor imperfections oh - and people who constantly talk about getting tattooed but never do guess i do have pet peeves :)
  17. nice work man not my style but fine tattooing nonetheless
  18. oh hell yeah got a little ROA action coming in a couple weeks
  19. who knows brutha - dont be such a slacker next time :)
  20. i'm not a fan of an artist taking frequent smoke breaks for the main reason is that it breaks the flow of getting tattooed if the area getting tattooed is an uncomfortable area to have tattooed it can be frustrating to have to stop and start anyway - it wouldnt stop me from getting work from a particular artist but i'd be lying if i said that its never been a factor for me especially if the artist is on the slower side in terms of the pace of which they tattoo you
  21. there is nothing to do here first - he probably charged you 'for the piece' and - it is what it is right moving forward if you feel he is too pricey for you then move along and collect from other artists or make sure he knows your budget I have had work done where the artist charges you first for the piece then they tattoo you - time is an irrelevant factor so know and articulate your budget and stop watching the clock and enjoy getting tattooed
  22. dont over do it you realize it will heal if you do nothing at all - - - Updated - - - dont over do it you realize it will heal if you do nothing at all
  23. @JBluewind hey you've entered the world of tattoos so I'd say your luck has changed - at least a little - watch some of the interviews on here - you'll be entertained and educated - maybe we can get you to entertain some traditional style tattooing for your next go - - - Updated - - - @JBluewind hey you've entered the world of tattoos so I'd say your luck has changed - at least a little - watch some of the interviews on here - you'll be entertained and educated - maybe we can get you to entertain some traditional style tattooing for your next go
