Terrible tattoos don't cost that much ;)
I see this every year at the State Fair. They're not just randomly in swim suits, so they have to show them, they're intentionally showing them off. And they're clearly getting tattooed in someone's garage. I suspect people with really good tattoos are trying very hard to keep them covered from the August sun.

Gosh, today the baby chameleon and I are hanging out, peeling.

Yeah can't imagine I'd ever get black work (lack of space) but if I did Roxx would be where I'd go
...but you could get space filling geometric work...
I like looking at blackwork. I'm pretty sure I'll never have a large piece of it, but I love to see it on all of those svelte bodies.

Here is the rose cuff I was thinking about earlier but could not find.
I've wondered about 'passing' tattoos this way.
-
This is why I think many rose tattoos look like coverups.
Do you want them just gone, or could you live with having them incorporated into a new tattoo? You could explore a wristband / cuff style. Some of them are so pretty that I think I could almost get away with wearing them to work.

I hope my little bird becomes the next big thing. Everyone should have at least one :p I have seen one other "bird with fry" tattoo, and several other of Geninne's birds as tattoos, but I've not seen them together before.
Some images are going to be repeated, or nearly so, over and over, because there are only so many variations on that theme. There might be a few things new under the sun, but they are rare.

Is there any technical reason why my right ankle swelled and hurt for almost a week, and the left one hardly hurts two days out? The tattoos are in the same place from side to side, but it seems pretty obvious they aren't applied in the same way. I'm sure it isn't because I'm so tough now :)

Just approved a drawing, getting ready to head to the chair

I'm going to try to put a bird on it tomorrow, if I can get a walk in. I'm wide open on placement (I can't decide where I want it). I'll let you know how we place it :)

I hope that's because you were thinking, rightly, that it would be a much better backpiece.
How'd you know!?!?!??

Tattooed versions of Ed Hardy's "Civilization?" painting are going to be huge in 2015 on men and women alike. You heard it here first. You're welcome.
That's what I stared at the whole time I was being tattooed. I have to say that I was not inspired to have it added to the other leg immediately, but it was a pretty good distraction when he was working down on my ankle bone...

Adinkra symbols are from West Africa, and would lend themselves to tattoos.
Perhaps darker skin tones led to scarification and stretching instead of tattooing? Facial scarification comes to mind immediately, but facial tattoos have a very different connotation in the West.

I'm messing around with a bird under the collarbone right now. I've got to keep my décolletage clear for work, and I have some sun damage/wear and tear on that skin anyway. Right now, the bird is facing out, but it's head is turned in. The slope of the back and the tail points down towards cleavage.
It is funny how bendy that part of the body is. Mock something up and move around in front of a mirror!

Thanks :)
I have a really great doctor, but even she thinks I'll eventually need surgery because of some complications. So I'm not putting anything on my belly or near my good veins for a long time.
It is what it is*

I think your dragon and volcano reference pictures are cool, but the execution isn't doing it for you. You've got a good idea. Let someone fix it :)

tornado your tattoo makes me wanna play gears of war again
;) The omen is actually my son's first tattoo. I'm more into N64 Mario hehe.

My first is just healed, but I think it is 'good'. I waited until my late 30s, and went to one of the better shops in town. It is 'just a walk in', but it isn't poorly chosen $75 flash. My favorite part, by far, was showing my artist the reference, and having him come back with a drawing of exactly what I'd had in my head for months. Now it is on my body. Awesome!

I take a lot of medicine for ulcerative colitis. (Infusions every eight weeks, like chemo, but not.). I recently added medicine for anxiety. I've never been an anxious person, so this setback has been at least as difficult as the physical illness.

You are all doing awesome things!
I teach a wildlife ID class to youth on Saturdays January - July. I'm getting my ducks in a row for this year's team. We took a team to International last summer, and I think we'll take another this year, but I have a vacation blackout at work the week of the competition.
My husband is shooting IDPA this year, so between him and my class, I'll be at the range a lot! I think I'm going to have to pick up a shooting sport of some sort, because I can't imagine plinking away all of that time.
We're taking a family vacation to the Black Hills this summer.
This is the first year since my son graduated, so I haven't quite adjusted to not having 'school nights' around the house yet :)

Or not, tickets sold out and I wasn't far enough up the queue.
So maybe my Grandma in her belly dancing outfit ;)
G'day

I hope you've got lots of Kirk Jones tattoos! I'd totally fly to your town to get tattooed by him :)
