I got some blackberries, leaves, branches, and another rose added to my arm yesterday (Kim Saigh at Memoir).

Pure awesomeness ! Memoir is such a great shop I think if I won the lottery the first thing I would do , would be to book a flight to see Shawn Barber his work is just mind-blowing.

Got my wife to take some photos of my latest tattoo all healed. The photos are a bit glarey cos of the flash. Tibetan Skull by Ema Sweeney at Custom Inc .

I've had bactine spray whilst getting tattooed , cant say I noticed any difference. My wife said she noticed a difference with bactine.

So lucky @huggernaut that's a tough one to beat !!!

I'm totally addicted to these Ken Bruen books , there's 10 in the Jack Taylor series , totally eating through them. So good.

I've been collecting books for decades. I have thousands lining my apartment. In the last two years I started buying fiction on a Kindle. Yesterday I was in a local bookstore and realized I really don't want paper books anymore. I prefer reading on an e-reader. There are some very disturbing downsides to ebooks. Top on the list is the realization that we don't actually own these books. It's more like a lease. That is a seriously bad trend. But the other side is that I find reading experience more immersive with e-readers. I miss going to my local bookstores, but the simple fact is, I am out of room for print books. I'll always buy my academic or non-fiction in paper form, largely because I need to flip back and forth from foot or endnote. It was a kind of stomach twisting realization that I have abandoned paper fiction.

As far as "owning" ebooks is concerned, I use Calibre to manage my ebooks, including backing the files up to my PC and stripping the DRM out

I love leith if you are coming to Edinburgh stay in leith it's better than Edinburgh. I fully intend to visit bill hooper at some point cos he is part of Scotland's tattoo history .

You are spoilt for choice in Edinburgh , Old town tattoo (nik especially ) or red hot & blue Paul slider is awesome (the shop Sara carter started in I believe) anyone in either of those shop will sort you out. If your looking for some real old school tattooage you can go see bill hooper I leith walk. He's been there about 100 years. Steven Kelly or soap at lab monkey do beautiful tattoos.

Woah! Tattoo removal sounds like an expensive business in the US. Where I am (UK) we can get laser removal done for about £40 a session (obviously depending on tattoo size, but certainly not hundreds)!

So I have been up since 5am , I haven't had anything to eat yet.i have managed to drink a bottle of prosecco mixed with a fyull bottle of chambord (so moreish!) I am out of my nut. I have managed to peel a bag of sprouts in this state without maiming myself . Being a vegetarian Xmas dinners are not as important t. Hopefully after this I'll be able to think straight again and start drinking again lol. Xmas day has been excellent the kids have had fun , e got the oldest a dj mixer he can cut up his mp3s with and it's great I am shit at it (nothing makes you feel older , he doesn't even know who the fuck Eric b and rakim is ) and ways more drinking to be had troops have a good one

I was thinking about it too. When you have had your consult and you then go to the shop and see the drawing for the first time its like the best surprise ever. I can understand that when someone then copies that how shitty it would feel.
